When I rebuilt my 5.4 2 valve I decided to sleeve all spark plug holes in the new heads after having the first heads blow them out several times.These have always worked fantastic. I’ve seen them last in 2 different 5.4’s and to me they’re a way superior option to the longer spark plug and insert kit. You do have to have the rest of the tools to cut the hole, tap it, smash the Insert so the little hooks grab and lock in, and vacuum out the cylinders if the heads are on the engine while installing.

These things are trash! I cannot, in good conscience, install these. There are only about four threads at the bottom! They're aluminum too
