This V3 to V4 adapter, specifically designed for the Philips Hue Lightstrip system, enables you to connect a V3 lightstrip to a V4 lightstrip and visa versa. This allows you to interchange lightstrip versions without issue.

Will Litcessory products cause my lightstrip to be dimmer?
- No, Litcessory products do not affect the brightness of the lights, as long as your total lightstrip run length (lightstrips plus any Litcessory product length) stays within 10 meters/33 feet, your lights will be just as bright!
What is reverse polarity, and how do I fix it?
- Reverse polarity happens when you plug in the wrong side of a 6-pin connector. The flow of electricity gets reversed, and the lightstrip won’t turn on. This is a common occurrence when setting up your project and it is easily fixed.
How do I connect the two lightstrips versions without flipping the lightstrip or reversing the polarity?
On Hue lightstrips there are letters that indicate signal flow and need to be matched up together.
- C (Cold White LED)
- B (Blue LED)
- G (Green LED)
- R (Red LED)
- FW (Warm LED)
- VCC (Voltage/Power)
Does this adapter come in a female connector version? Yes, the V3 to V4 adapters come with removable 6-Pin to 6-Pin male connector pins which can be adapted to female on either end.
Can I use this to connect my old V3 Hue Lightstrips to the new V4 Hue Lightstrips? Yes, The adapter has both Standard 6-Pin and Micro 6-Pin Connectors
Can I use this adapter with a Litcessory Extension Cable or Splitter? Yes, You can use the adapter in-line with other Litcessory products like Extension Cables or a Splitter.

I've had some later-gen light strip extensions I bought by mistake laying around for months. I had planned on making my own adaptors, but I picked these up when I learned about them.They work great! Just make sure to follow the instructions on the listing and remove one set of pins from the adaptor (remove the small ones if you're attaching a v4 to a v3 like I did) - you should have a male and female end, not two males.

This product works very well and it is extremely useful with the end inserts that allow either male/female connection at either end. The only con is the price. I only needed 1 connector and $20 seems pretty steep.

The only way I was able to get this to work was to flip my lightstrip extension around the opposite way. So the main lightstrip has lights facing up, but to get this to work, have to plug the extension into the adapter so the lights are facing down. It works, but now I have a twist in my lightstrip line where the strip meets the extension with this adapter. Hopefully customer service reaches out with an explanation. I’m leaving my review 1 star until they do

After a recent move, I found that my old hue lightstrips were not long enough to match my new cabinets. I bought an extension kit not realizing that my outdated lights weren’t compatible. Rather than buy new lightstrips or return the extension kit, I bought these adaptors. They have worked great and saved me a bunch of money/hastle.

These adapters do what they are supposed to do. Just remember that not only should the lights be the same way up but the direction of flow needs to be the same so you’ll need to remove the pins from one side of the adapter so you are always connecting male to female.The brightness and colours on the extensions are the same as if they were all the same version of light.

Funciona muy bien, usar el cable que venÃa con el lightstrip v3( ver video que un usuario a metido en sus comentarios) para conectarlo. Me ha funcionado perfectamente para dos juegos de lightstrip de 1 metro que he metido con los lightstrip v4 de 2 metros.

Sirve a la perfección, para que funcione correctamente tienes que usar el cable pequeño que ya viene en la compra de tu tira (extensión blanca pequeña), después de eso todo queda bien, me hubiera encantado que vendieran este producto individual ya que no utilizaba 4 piezas, solo 1
