The center opening was a little small for the light that was installed, so I used sandpaper to make a little larger. Easy material to work with. Looks great! I purchased the black color, but painted to match.

No clips to hold together. Much thicker then most for didn't fit with standard fixture depth. Painted foam board.

These aren’t overly complex pieces for the cost but a necessary evil sometimes.I put a ceiling up on a porch and added a ceiling fan… the addition of the fan requires some fiddling around and that left a “hole†around the electrical box the fan didn’t cover. As such I’ll be lowering the fan some and slipping these 2-part medallions in to cover it up.They’re a nice simple design, not too ornate, which was difficult to find as most were a bit more elaborate than this house’s trim work is. Finding a visual balance was important and so simplicity was what I wanted.This fit the bill just fine and what I wanted.It is a simple foam, nothing too light but not too difficult to work with. Only time will tell how it holds up, especially on a porch, but I’m thinking with paint that it’ll be fine.It was a necessary evil so I’m content with it.
