I actually bought this to use to pull up my boat anchor. The anchor is 25lbs and it was hard to pull out of the mud and water by hand. This has helped a lot and makes it much easier.

Better than expected. The teeth are needlessly very sharp. I filed them down a bit so the wear and tear on ropes isn’t as bad. Holds just fine. Good strong cam and spring.

Holy crap, at this price I wasn’t expecting much out of this ascender, but the quality and comfort is definitely there. I haven’t used it yet but I will update once I have. so far testing it on a 10 mil static line it has a smooth upstroke and extreme grip, very comparable to my petzl ascender. The finish is also very nice, 10/10 would buy again. The only complaint that I can find is that none of my biners seem to be able to rotate so I can have the screw down, which makes setting my pulley a little more difficult but easily worked around.

Surprisingly good. Bought this jumar for work as I didn't want to use my Petzl. It actually is as comfortable to use and has an extra attachment hole for a lanyard instead of the elongated single hole. I'm quite happy with this purchase and for the price I won't be bummed when/if it goes missing. Attachment holes do have sharp edges so they may need some touch up or use a biner/maillon with your sling.
