Cool 'for the kids (and adults) ages 6 and up. They are examing everything from a dead spider, chewing gum and even their nose boogers! Haha. Lots of fun and educational too. Highly recommended!

This was a gift for our 11 yr old grandson. All the adults at our family Christmas sort of took it over! They all thought it was great! He finally told them they better not wear it out before he got a chance to use it!! This was the best spur of the moment purchase I have made in a while!

I did have to send the first one back as the light brightness adjuster didn't work correctly. (-1 Star) But, stuff happens.The second one is great! Works much better than expected. My granddaughter has so much fun with it. Her first look at a dead fly was priceless.

Update Feb. 5, 2025: I was sent a new replacement microscope that works as well as the first one. Now, I have to wait and see if this one will last for longer than a month or two. I'm raising my rating back to 5 stars again as long as this microscope does not stop working.Update Jan. 29, 2025 : This worked great until it stopped working. I charged it and turned it on, but it never turned on again. I even tried cahrging it with different chargers to see if that made a difference. It was never dropped or handled p0roughly. I don't know what happened, but it's not working anymore. Disappointed.I got this for my son to see things magnified. I love it, and I really wish I had one as a kid. I think it's fun to use now.My kid has looked at our dogs' fur, bird feathers, fabrics, leaves, and anything that he can put this microscope on. I didn't think it would work so well being so small. I love that it has a screen so he doesn't have to use an app on my phone to see things or to take pictures and video. His other portable microscope is like that, and it was a pain to give him my phone just to use that microscope.I didn't know this microscope took videos. I was pleasantly surprised. I haven't formatted the SD card that I bought for this, so we can't save pictures or videos yet. I took pictures of the screen with my phone. These were just the things around me. The pictures are so much sharper and brighter on the actual microscope screen. The brightness is adjustable. It's easy to focus.We were so excited to start using this that we haven't even taken the screen protector off. I charged it up, and we started using it. It's so easy to use that I didn't need to give my kid instructions. He figured it out right away. It even comes with 2 prepared slides and other accessories. He really liked those slides, and he wants to see everything up close with this microscope. It's amazing how different things look up close.It seems to be well made and it has a lot of features and functions. It's something that kids and adults would really enjoy using together to look at the things around them. It's a good way to get kids into science because the results are almost instantly apparent on the screen. I think many kids and even some adults would love this as a gift, and I think most kids around 7 could probably use it on their own with some supervision so they don't break it by being too rough or careless. Some kids are much more careful and respectful with their belongings than others.My kid and I love it. This is a big hit.

This is a great little microscope. Super easy to use and fun for the kids. The screen is great and everyone gets to see what's going on. Much different than when I was a kid! Super compact and easy to store away when not using. Battery life is good and recharges quickly. you can hook it up to the computer and take pictures as well. Very easy focus adjustment. Highly recommended to keep your kids busy with a fun learning tool.
