The classic case is the silver Rimowa briefcase that’s been around for decades and cost a fortune! This briefcase has the same vibe at an affordable price point.I wouldn’t say it’s beaming with quality. For starters, it only has one hinge-support arm. These arms provide stability and keep the lid open. When you only have one it’s easy to bend the arm or the briefcase lid or hinges if you are not careful. So, be careful. This is a weak design, but it also probably keeps the cost down.I like that the interior is so open! With that said, I would have like the option to compartmentalize things. This isn’t a big issue because you can always have pouches or other cases within this case. For example, if you want to carry a cell phone battery backup, many of those come with their own case to hold the cables and power adapter. Just thrown the case in this case and you’re done.I will use this as a crafting projects case. Not so much for home storage, but for travel. When I visit friends and family with kids, I usually like to have something they can make or play with. Backpacks are okay, but it always feels like I’m digging in those.I like the size of this briefcase. It’s large but not overly so. The handles feel sturdy enough. Though I don’t plan on using the combination locking code, it’s nice that they include it.AMAZON PHOTO/DESCRIPTION ACCURACY: The photo and description are accurate.VALUE/VERDICT: This is a nice briefcase. For work, I prefer backpacks and soft-side briefcases for stowing and travel. But this is a great projects and crafting case when going from place to place. At $56.99 I’d say that’s a little high for the quality of this case.

I expected a metal brief case -- the top and bottom panels were like cardboard cover with a thin metal veneer -- not sturdy enough for my needs. This would be a great purchase for casual use -- not heavy duty

I needed a place to lock up the adult items my wife and I use so that small curious hands didn't just find items in a bedside drawer or dresser drawer. This fit the bill perfectly. It came in a cardboard box wrapped in a plastic bag. The locks are secured with a plastic stick to keep the numbers set in place and don't accidentally move (thereby locking the case) during transport. It has a very nice sleek brushed aluminum metal finish. The interior has a net pocket for files, etc. and the rest is covered in a cloth foam material. It feels pretty sturdy and the two locks can be set differently to increase security. Overall, I'm very pleased with this case. Good stuff!

Ordered the Vilcjson Locking Briefcase to keep daily mail, papers and accoutrements by the couch, and put of sight except when needed. Close enough to grab anytime but not stacked out for the world to see. We don't normally lock the case. The locks are okay but not great. I consider them a deterrent; to keep the honest honest.The case is black with aluminum trim (the picture's flash image doesn't really show this) and solid. It would easily hold several pounds of items without fear of damage. It's got clean lines and a classic look and works great. Simple to open and unlock as necessary.As for quality I place it along the lines of a Vaultz brand product. I wouldn't entrust it to secure the contents of the Pulp Fiction stash, but at home it should secure your stash just fine.Note: As a goof I attached a set of handcuffs to the handle. Worth every penny for the looks we get when it's noticed. So, I can recommend this as a piece of eclectic home decor as well -grin-
