Works perfectly for a medium low security Dropbox for suggestions, keys, keycards, etc. Plus one less key that needs to be managed - I already have one hundred orphan keys and locks!

I bought this mailbox at the beginning of December 2018, after mail was stolen out of a traditional open type mailbox. Its classy. The combo lock works well. The numbers you choose can easily be changed. The steel is high quality. It is well made. Mine was mounted on the brick outside my front door which did necessitate drilling through masonry. There are four holes for mounting this mailbox. Once on, I doubt it could be pried off easily, even with a crowbar. It did come come with both screws and anchors. If you have advertising mail, and it comes in bulk flyers, it will not fit through the mail slot. Sometimes my carrier sticks them into the slot , which is annoying as I come home to a wad of advertising newsprint protruding from the mail slot. This mailbox needs hooks under the box for 3rd class mail, such as weekly shopping newsprint. NOW. The bad news. There is a design flaw in most locking mailboxes. Look always for the location of the lock as that will be where the lock latch is, which is the mechanism that locks and unlocks your mailbox. In the case of this particular mailbox, the lock latch is just inside the mail flap. The lock lever can be accessed easily by simply opening the mail delivery slot and forcing the lever open with a tool. The lever is in the vertical position when locked so this is very easy for a thief to do. I opened my door two weeks after I mounted it only to to discover the front panel hanging open, and the thief had curled a piece of mail around the mail slot. It was his big f*** you to me for trying to thwart his criminal skanky ass. Mine response back was to put his name all over town, and send another report to USPS inspectors. So. Great mailbox. Moral of the story is: Locking mailboxes will provide you with illusion of security. For very serious bad situations you need to obtain a USPS box.

So we recently moved into a rental that is located in a bit of a rough section of Columbus and immediately started having issues with packages and mail either disappearing after receiving delivery notifications or just never receiving the items at all. We eventually had to call the local Postmaster to ask what could be done and they told us part of the problem was they didn’t have enough mailmen for our area so we were (and are) only getting mail deliveries on random days. Ummm…what?? And how does this explain things disappearing??Anyway, after a few months of this crap, I decided to purchase a locking mailbox. This one was a decent price and is big enough to hold magazines without bending them. I installed it in probably 10 minutes and it was ready to go. The only issue I have now is that the mail delivery people often cannot be bothered to put the mail all the way in so it can’t be rained on or stolen. I mean, it’s a simple flap. No instructions needed, right? But alas, most of the time when we get a mail delivery, it hangs right out of the box. This is a people problem and not a product problem.Do we still have missing packages and mail? Yes, but not nearly as much. Am I happy with this mailbox? Yes I am. Should you buy this mailbox for your ghetto home? Definitely.Long story short: 5 stars for the mailbox; 1 star for the postal service.

Several months ago my front porch camera caught a car roll up to my house, a woman got out and proceeded to open my mailbox and steal the letters inside. I was in shock, I posted the pictures on social media but knew that the damage was done. I don't know why they stole letters, maybe identity thieves? I quickly bought this mailbox and installed it. my house is brick, but it was still fairly easy to install and the key was easy to use. I was a little nervous that the box would confuse the mailperson as it didn't say "mailbox" on it, but I found my letters deposited in it the following day and have not had any issues. I now urge all my friends and family to get a mailbox with a lock, this one is not expensive, does the job, and gives me peace of mind

Sturdy construction but unfortunately not waterproof. The lid is flat, not slanted so water seeps in. Another poor design issue is the clear plastic window which also isn't waterproof and starts to haze up due to sunlight exposure. I tried several fixes such as adding 1/4" foam insulation around the mail slot and taping the inside of the window but they really didn't make much difference. The keyed lock is a minor convenience. I've found I can still reach in and pull out the letters. Best to fetch your mail before it rains!

We bought this mailbox to install on a sign in front of our new home that was under construction. There are a lot of construction workers on the premises so we needed the locking feature to provide security for our mail. The mailbox is very well built and attractive with a modern look. The lock works well. This product was good value for the cost.

We use this as a drop box for mail to the condo board in our building. The window to see if there is anything inside is very handy. The box looks good and works well as does the lock.

I like it, looks modern and fancy, love that i can see through the plastic so i know if i got mail without having to open it, my only complaint is that the key doesn't stay inside the lock when its open, so the keys always fall off, so i had to learn to remove the keys, then take the mail, then put the keys back in, i guess im just lazy, but i wished it could just hold my keys while i fetch the mail... Haha
