We love cast iron and love to give them out as wedding gifts. This is perfect as it serves as a skillet and a pot or a pot with a lid! It is great to get a two-in-one for as a gift that can be used beyond an entire lifetime and given to your children. The design is super cute, but it would be nice to have more options than just this one.

I have used cast iron for years. We bought this for our daughter. The versatility of this is great! It’s like a twofer! Great for limited storage. Everything tastes better cooked in cast iron. Lodge is a reputable, consistent and quality company. The pattern printed on it is lovely…an extra added bonus!

First, all parts of this product are heavy (as expected). Just be prepared, because it is extremely heavy when you use this as a Dutch oven. You will need to make sure that you have the proper items to remove this extremely heavy thing out of the oven!I love this product! It is a frying pan, a "pot," and a Dutch oven. I can cook eggs and bacon in the frying pan, soup and stews in the "pot," and bread in the Dutch oven. I even cooked turkey in it. This would be good for anyone who was just starting out, because it is a multi-use item. We can use it in the home or while camping. It stores very easily. I absolutely love the lid/frying pan with the Lab sitting on the dock!

JUST CANT BEAT LODGE CAST IRON COOKWARE. I HAVE TRIED ALL THE NON STICK JUNK OUT THERE, THEY ARE NOT ME PROOF, INTO THE TRASH THEY WENT. I USE THE CAST IRON FOR EVERYTHING, STEAKS, EGGS, PASTA, IN THE OVEN, VERY GOOD STUFF, I WILL BE GETTING MORE OF THESE PRETTY SOON, THANKS FELLERS...

This heavy cast iron combination cookset, bottom and top, requires plenty of time to bring it from room temperature to cooking temperature, which is the way cast iron works, and is excellent in every way. Bravo, Lodge! But keep in mind it could take months of daily use to fully season cast iron cookware while using cooking fats and oils and avoiding acidic foods such as tomatoes, etc. Seasoning high carbon steel pans, pots, and woks works in the sane way.

Excellent with traditional Lodge quality. This has become my goto camping cookware as it serves so many purposes from griddle, to skillet to dutch oven.

I am using this to bake a 500mg sourdough loaf. The cast iron is phenomenal. My loaf gets a super rise each time and it provides a nicely browned (not burnt) loaf. I have recently discovered that the rise is so nice that my loaf is hitting the top of the dutch oven. It's not a big deal, but I may look for an even larger one in the future.

I love lodge and cast iron in general. The price is decent, it's easy to tailor the piece to my needs. This will last forever. Season it when you get it home, keep the heat medium, pre warm your cast iron before cooking, dawn dish soap is fine. I promise it's fine. Easy peasy.

I use only Lodge Cast iron and have never been disappointed. Good, solid product and the manufacturer has a great website to get great Lodge suggestions and recipes to try.

Heavy and sturdy. Attractive design. Great to bake bread in. Only thing I will say is a) when it gets hot it gets very HOT! Be sure to wear protective gloves and b) don't forget to dry thoroughly after cleaning & oil lightly or being caste iron it will rust even from just a little moisture as in bread baking. You have to season these well and stay on top of maintenance for this type of cooking. But its worth the effort because this will last a lifetime! Very happy with purchase. Recommend.

I get that there are imperfections however do these cast iron pots come with holes? Would have excepted it if it wasn’t on the cooking surface.

Beautiful piece of cast iron, rather versatile allowing you to cook in pan or pot all in one package. Its a cast iron piece, clean it, dry it quickly and oil it and it will serve you well. I mainly use it to roast beef and it works really well for that. If you like the design for this piece, I strongly recomment it as your first cast iron piece to cover most bases in the kitchen.
