Bought DO to bake my sourdough bread and cook in. Does great job eveytime. Clean up is easy. Love baking with it, though it is heavy. Recommend purchasing if on the fence. Excellent quality.

This Dutch oven was perfectly sized for a single person who nonetheless likes to cook. Very high quality at a much better price than many competitors. I'll shop this brand again for similar items. Very pleased.

This Dutch oven is a beautiful, rich red color that I absolutely love (my photo does not do it justice). The finish is really smooth and glossy. I was hesitant to use it on my glass ceramic cooktop, but after receiving the product I am not worried that it will scratch or damage anything because the bottom is flat and perfect. My main intention is to use it in the oven to make chilis, stews, pot roasts, pot pies, or for baking bread (I want to try sourdough). I think it will be great for these foods. I made chili with chicken in it and it worked very well, with really nice even heating and nothing got burned.It is very heavy and feels very durable. Since it is cast iron underneath the enamel coating you do have to be careful in two ways. One, you don’t want to scratch the coating and two, if you drop this pot it could definitely break other dishes. Also it says to be careful not to shock it with abrupt temperature changes. Since I am using this for larger cooking items like stews for in the oven, I got the 7.5 QT oval size, but if you are cooking for only 1 or 2 people or not making large quantities I think the smaller round version would fit better on the cooktop and be easier to handle because it would have a smaller size and weight. This product is so sturdy that I think I will be able to use it for many, many years. It also cleaned up really easily with no issues.So to sum up this seems to be a great quality product and at a great price. And the amazing color makes it beautiful looking too! I would buy it again and it would make a great gift for newlyweds.

My girls bought me this as a Christmas giftI absolutely love it. The size is perfect for cooking for four or 5 or 6 peopleI love its perfect heat distribution. I could start cooking in it with my vegetables, move them to the side and put in a pot roast and brown it perfectly add in some broth and seasonings and just straight into the oven.It is also so easy to clean. I had some dish soap to it fill it with hot water and just let it sit about 15 minutes and wipes clean

I purchased this for my wife who is very much in her sourdough era. She wanted to branch out to bread that was oval shaped. What I can speak to is the weight and quality of the products presentation. It was of significant weight but not too heavy to move easily, the color was bright and beautiful. She seems to enjoy using it, as she does so often, and the bread is delicious.

This arrived packed in a factory packaging, slopping around in a HUGE box the Amazon packer put it in. Fortunately it was undamaged.This roaster is big enough to bake my oblong banneton of sourdough, and it holds a 4.5 lb homegrown chicken. The chicken was superb. There are basting drip things in the lid, which really help roast meat wonderfully. The roaster fits inside my wood cookstove oven.The red enamel finish on the outside is unblemished and is a deep lovely colour, darker towards the bottom. The inside is ivory white (almost pure white) and is even and also unblemished.I’ve used it a few times already and I love it.Being cast iron it is, however, heavy. So that might be something of a concern for some people. The cast isn’t terribly thick, in my opinion, but it’s heavy enough.If you’re looking for an oblong cast iron roaster, I highly recommend.

This Dutch oven arrived promptly after ordering in perfect condition with no nicks or chips anywhere. We had been thinking of getting a Dutch oven for many years and finally chose this one. It is a beautiful cobalt blue that looks great sitting on our brushed stainless steel glass top stove. Can't wait to try it out on a casserole meal soon!
