My mom got this to replace one that broke. It looks exactly the same as her old one - nice and compact, easy to use, she figured out the buttons easily enough. When she uses it across the house, I can hear her music, so the speakers are loud. Neither of us had ever heard of this brand, but the quality is also great as far as we can tell. She's very satisfied with her purchase!

The opening is not the easiest but the sound is great! Small hands will work best for opening and inserting cd.

OK, it works, but only barely. There's so much wrong with this product I don't know where to start. First of all, there's no actual on/off switch, so if you're using batteries it just sits there draining the batteries. And it does it REALLY FAST! The user interface is quite confusing -- there's no Stop button for the CD, just Pause. The button that LOOKS like a stop button actually sets the repeat mode. And when you want to insert or remove a CD you have to wrestle the door open, there's no help at all. It's so stiff I thought I was breaking something the first few times I opened it.Finally, the sound gets loud enough but is really hollow -- very poor bass and essentially no high treble. Sounds like a 1960s era transistor radio.Overall lousy product, will be returning. Caveat emptor!

This has excellent sound quality and takes up very little room on my table. My only complaint is that it is difficult to lift the lid in order to insert the CD.
