Each shelf measures 36" wide x 6-3/4" deep with 12" between shelves. The sturdy design features smooth rounded handles for easy maneuverability and perforated end panels for style and better air circulation. We had been looking for a way to organize the bazillion books our households’ two children (ages 7 and 5) have accumulated over the years. They are book lovers and we had their books stored in baskets and cubbies and on tipsy book shelves, in carts, in stacks, lol anywhere they’d fit. We decided to try this “official library cart†because it seemed as though it might solve the storage issue and be able to be rolled from room to room on our first floor. (Wenhave wood floors and it rolls fine on them - not sure how it would doOn carpet).It did solve the storage issue marvelously !!It is incredibly durable and sturdy- love the heavy wheels and breaks! More than enough room and room to spare even!! Easy for the kids to access.Once the books are on the unit is is a heavy piece to move about. Not easily moved by the kids and honestly it’s so heavy we wouldn’t want them moving it for safety reasons. Locking all four wheels pretty much solves that potential issue.

Big and strong. This is a serious book truck. I put every book and paper and container I wanted to store on it and I still have room for more. And it rolls nicely too. It's as wide and thick as a good sized dresser... The top handles are about elbow height, if your pretty tall and maybe shrug a little bit ... if that makes sense..

I did not realize how large it was going to be. Takes up some space but very very sturdy and holds tons of books. Happy.

I was a disappointed with the carelessness of how the touchups were done on each and every shelf with the incorrect paint color. There were also two areas where the paint was gouged off when installing screws. You would think as many as they make and sell at this kind of cost, they would have the correct paint color. The cart is sturdy and maneuvers well, I just hope it doesn't rust over time. I think there should be a better quality control department checking these before they are sent out this way. Poor workmanship and poor quality control.

This cart is sturdy and large. Do check out the dimensions and weight before ordering to make sure you want a cart this large. There is nothing flimsy about it.

Just what I needed. Quality piece. One small dent in the side that likely happened prior to shipping. Cosmetic, not a factor, exceept that it kept me from rating at five stars.

We used several of these in our bookstore over the past year and they're cheaply made. They generally break apart after 6 months to a year. Shelves collapse and they're not safe. For anybody considering them for commercial or library use, I wouldn't advise it unless you just need them for mass market or trade paperbacks. Try the sturdier welded carts from Sandusky instead; they last much longer and hold the weight of hardcovers better.
