I was a little nervous at first as I am NOT a craft person at all. Opening the package I got a little overwhelmed but took my time reading the directions and took it slow and step by step. I searched for some YouTube videos for some help for a couple of the stitches but I don’t think that’s necessary for everyone.What a fun and cute project.

The fabric tore a little as I tightened it in the hoop and the thread snapped on me several times as I drew it through the cloth.Other than that, this is a great beginner kit and my sister, who loves cows, loved the finished product.It came with enough thread and the instructions were easy to follow.

I am new to embroidery and making these as a Christmas present for my daughter. I love the blue background fabric! It's perfect for a night time theme! Unlike most sets it comes with 3 hoops! It has easy to read instructions and plenty of thread so no need to panic about running out.

I am really enjoying this embroidery kit. I have never really embroidered before, so I did have to YouTube how to thread and knot the needle and how to separate the strands. I am not sure if I would say this has all of the information a beginner needs, but it does have all of the materials. It comes with plenty of thread, as well. I will definitely have thread left over. Overall, I think it is a good beginner kit, but you will need to look up a few quick videos if this is your first time.

I bought this product in an attempt to start embroidery and for the most part, I've found it very therapeutic. However, with that being said, it takes quite a bit to get the hang of it or to know what to do. Inside each package (there are 3) are the strings, needles, looms, and an instruction packet. The instruction packet generally shows you how many strings to use, what colors go where, and basic pictures of different stitch pattern you would do. To me, someone who has never done embossing before, I found everything confusing. I didn't know what it meant to use "4 strings" (if you don't know, within one big strand of string, there are 6 smaller strands that comprise it). I loved that they provided links for youtube videos to help you with the stitching, but it still didn't change the fact that it was difficult to understand the images and videos of the many stitch patterns. Once you got the hang of it, it was actually very simple. The designs are cute and relatively easy to understand. They provide all the materials in the kit and it's all very organized as well. I might buy more embroidery it's if I can get used to everything! Overall, if you want to start embroidery, this kit is a great start for you to determine if you want to continue it more.

This is decent for a beginner and someone who wants to practice the basics. There are a few things to be aware of though. The first is that the colour of the thread does not match the image. In fact it is way off. The red colours are shades of orange; browns are greens; and yellows are a fluorescent yellow. These are just a few examples. So if you’re expecting it to completely match then you shall be disappointed. And I am not comparing the threads with the image I see on my computer screen. I am comparing them to the printed image that came in the set. The second thing to be aware of is that it comes on an Aida cloth. It is very very stiff and the weaving is a little difficult to work with. BUT, I believe it is good for a beginner to start with this type of fabric. Because it’s stiff you don’t feel like it’ll tear and you can be rough with it. The last thing to keep in mind is that you will not practice a wide variety of stitch types. I recommend reviewing the pictures as closely as you can to see what type of stitches you’ll do. However, taking everything I’ve written into consideration, I still think this is good for a beginner. Also, since I’m using this to practice neat stitching the colour of the threads don’t really matter to me. I’ll probably buy more. Hopes this is helpful. Thanks

Finally managed to finished it. The quality of the cloth and needle wasn't good. I found it very hard and time consuming as the needle would just not get through due to the poor quality of cloth. Also the eye of the needle should have been large as it was too small for 6 strands. I am sure I would encounter same issue with other 2 kits that came with this one.

This was my second time doing needle point and this kit was an absolute blast! I had a lot of fun doing these three patterns and have gotten lots of complements on them. Kit comes with everything you’ll need and more. I would recommend this to anyone looking to have a fun time with needle point.
