I purchased this for my shops Brother MFC-8910DW when it started to smear the ink on printed items, and then it started to jam the paper no matter how many times i took everything out and cleaned everything inside.watch some videos on youtube first to see if any cleaning will fix your problem, then purchase this item, even though it seem inevitable that they go out after a lot of use.Installation was pretty easy, there are some videos on youtube on how to remove this fuser, and so far my printer has been printing with no issues.

My printer started to print fuzzily. I tried to clean the toner path and replace the toner. I finally broke down and replace the drum, which did not solve my printing issue. The drum needed replacing, but it was not the only issue. I had to also replace the fuser. It was more reasonable in cost to me and to the environment to replace the fuser than buying a new printer. From what I can tell, it works as well as the brand name OEM fuser.It took me more time that I thought and I consider myself a pretty handy person. The challenge is replacing the fuser is taking the retainer plastic piece out and putting it back. Maybe there is a trick to doing it, but it was harder to slide up, twist and pull. I would love to hear how others were able to do it on a Brother DCP-8155DN.

I was able to make the change very easily. It was much less costly and a hassle than if I had had to purchase a new printer. I was glad I bought the whole unit vs. just the fuser roller which I think would have been more difficult to replace/install. Very happy with my purchase.

My printer was ghost printing. I watched a quick video and I had the new fuser installed about 15 minutes after opening the box. Problem solved! My 4 year old printer is now printing like NEW!

I bought one of these in 2018. Lasted 4 years. Now I just used this one and it lasted 3 months. No good!
