Over time, rubber stretches and looses vacuum. Had to cinch a tie-wrap around rubber bulb base. May as well buy a cheap Turkey Baster instead.

I bought this to help suck the leftover gas out of my lawnmower and snowblower after my hand pump lasted only one season. The design couldn't get more simpler, so what could possibly go wrong. Unfortunately this glorified turkey baster was completely worthless. After sucking fluid into the bulb, it cannot maintain any of the fluid inside the bulb, so it all comes rushing out the end. This was likely due to a very poor seal where the black base meets the red bulb. As soon as fluid began to fill the bulb, it also began leaking out where the two sections come together. If fluid can escape out that means air can get in. This is probably why mine would couldn't hold any fluid against gravity after it has been suctioned in. Moreover if you attempted to squeeze the bulb to push out what little fluid remained, it would come out where the two sections join together and make a big mess. The nail in the coffin was when the two sections routinely separated from each other. All in all this is a very poorly made product that can't remotely begin to do what it was designed for. Save your money and frustrations and buy something else.
