I had a handyman friend install this switch and it took him about five minutes. He said the instructions were simple, the coloring of the wires explained and the unit fit perfectly where the old broken switch had gone. I like that the three position switch has a large paddle to easily grip and move it up and down to turn the fan to any of three speeds or off. The simple rocker switch operates the light on the ceiling fan. Another review advised not to use a CF bulb so I replaced it with an LED bulb instead. Everything works fine and I have my ceiling fan working again.

Purchased three of these and used them on the cheapest fans that we bought at home depot.Needed these cause we can't have the chains hanging down due to a projector and also my since I'm a small woman I always have to have long chains in order to reach them. Works great, was easy to install and wire. They have three settings on the slider for slow to fast. The only complaint I have is the slowest setting is really slow, but we always put it on full blast anyways. Wish they were cheaper but it was still worth it.

This was delivered on time and proved easy to install. Of course, it replaces an exact duplicate that I had broken off, so matching the wires, colors, etc. was easy. Highly recommend.

Unable to find this switch at big home centers, found them here at Amazon; exactly what I need it. Priced right, fast delivery, recommended, would buy again.

I bought two identical switches except that one is a dimmer for the ceiling lights and one is a 3-way switch to operate the ceiling fan. They were both replacements for what was already in the wall. They both work great—they fit, they worked right the first time, and I feel good knowing they are UL switches in my wall.

Problem: Needed to add a "Light Kit" to an existing Hunter ceiling fan but the wall switch only controlled the FAN not the LIGHT. If I used my existing 3-Speed wall switch to control the fan, the LIGHT would remain on unless I used the PULL STRING that was attached to the light kit.Solution (FIRST: Shut off Power at Electrical Panel):1.) Installed the Westinghouse Light Kit for my existing Hunter fan, using the two "Light Kit" wires that were already in the fan housing.2.) Purchased the Lutron "Slide-To-Off Fan Speed Control with On/Off Light" Wall Switch3.) Removed the existing Fan Slide Panel Switch and unscrewed the existing outlet switch that was in the 2-Gang Box to get access to all the wires.4.) Identified and labeled the wires that were going to the fan. This is where I noticed the black wire that went along with the red wire that fed the fan was tied directly into the HOT-Line Side (Black) wire. I untwisted this black (Light Kit-Load) wire to make it available for the new switch.5.) With all the wires labeled, I connected each of the wires to their corresponding match on the new switch, including the ground wire using the twist-on electrical nuts. The directions are very clear on which color wire controls the Fan & Light, as well as which wire is the Ground (Green) and which is the Hot (Black).6.) Installed the new switch back into the 2-gang box (with provided screws), re-attached my wall plate and turned the power back on.Now I have full, 3-speed fan control and light on/off control from the wall switch. The fan control seems smooth and it's easy to find each speed (OFF, Low, Med, High). The light switch (although small) easily controls the on/off function of the new light kit on the fan. I didn't have any issues fitting the new switch into my 2-gang box (there was plenty of room for the wiring and twist-on nuts).TOOLS USED:Multimeter to ensure all power is OFF from Electrical Panel at the SwitchFlat-head screwdriver to remove wallplate screwsPhillips Head Screwdriver to remove/install switchesWirecutters/strippers to ensure clean cut connections to existing wires in the Gang Box.

Estuve buscando varias opciones y este apagador con velocidades para ventilador me parecio la mejor opcion, el unico detalle que le pondria es que el apagador de la luz esta muy pequeño pero es un inconveniente menor. Viene sin placa.

Effectively does what it says it does. Wires up easily, no neutral required. Relatively compact box (compared to some dimmers) so should fit in most electrical boxes. Light switch is tiny and clicky but works OK.
