We purchased this seat for our newly-installed walk/in shower. As soon as my husband started assembling it, he began pointing out all of the indicators of a well-made piece of furniture. On all of the parts that were screwed together at the factory, the holes had been filled, sanded & finished so that the bottom was as smooth as the top. All sections fit together perfectly. All hardware screwed in perfectly. It’s solid, stable, comfortable…& a joy to look at! Happiest online purchase we’ve made in a long time.

Be sure to follow instructions carefully and DO NOT TIGHTEN BOLTS until all are installed. The allen wrench that came with it did not seem to fit very well. I used a ratchet screwdriver with allen wrench bit but be very careful as the bolts are easy to strip if you do not have bit firmly inserted in the bolt. Keep going around and gradually tighten each bolt partway until you finally have all tightened completely. I made the mistake of tightening the first ones really tight and then almost stripped them when I had to go back and loosen them so the other bolts would screw in more easily. My mistake for not following instructions. Very beautiful and very sturday. Mine sits evenly on floor but it is nice it has adjustable feet in case your shower floor in uneven. I am going to go ahead and apply some teak oil before using to keep it looking beautiful.

Oh. My. Goodness! This bench is absolutely gorgeous. The wood grain is beautiful. The bench is well made, no rough spots, perfectly finished, and it's the perfect height to sit on--no matter where I finally decide to use it. Now that I've seen it in person, the bench won't be going in my shower. Will most likely use it on the patio--which means I'll definitely be buying a second one for a great patio atmosphere. My one tiny, almost negligent issue is that the Allen wrench didn't seem to work well in the screw heads. Probably a machining issue from the metal factory, not the fault of the Teak furniture maker. No problem, I used one I already had at home and the bench assemble perfectly. Bottom line: I LOVE THIS BENCH!

This is a beautiful shower chair. Unfortunately, one of the legs was made incorrectly. Instead of trashing the leg at the factory, they chose to include it. I hate people who knowingly cause problems. Now they are replacing an entire shower chair. What a waste! Sadly, I didn’t see the defect until I had assembled the chair and had to spend my time taking it apart. I will be thoroughly inspecting the new chair parts prior to assembly to save my time.
