More expensive than an analog snake and not as convenient as one thinks for all applications. The cat6 cable is well built but not easy at all to work with. And you can only get 4 mics from one cable. Compare to my 20 channel analog snake, the snake was easier to run than the heavy duty cat6 in my 2 room studio. My error was not measuring. I only needed a 50 foot cat6. I don’t doubt this is a cleaner option for extremely long runs but if anyone thinks cat 5 or 6 doesn’t fail, talk to any Al network tech.

Great, much cleaner signal from my microphones than running straight XLR.
