I have been fishing for trout mostly on ponds for a few weeks now and I am very positively surprised by this low cost line,it casts smooth and very well, sink rate seems accurate.Line casts well into some pretty stiff wind, low on line memory. Used it with weightless and weighted wooly buggers and also clousers. I like the blue running line with the black weighted sink tip and would highly recommend it. Best part , have been catching lots of brookies, browns and rainbows.I also bought the WF -8 F/S 6 ips , but haven't tried it yet but I can imagine it would perform similar.

Just spend weekend putting this line on 12 reels for a boy scout troop as we were on a budget. So far so good seems to cast fairly well on the cheep rods we have so can't make any comments on the overall quality as even great line wouldn't cast superbly on the rods we have. A few thoughts:Sink tip line didn't sink out of the box. But I have had that issue with even more expensive lines. A quick bath in warm water with a little dish soap and the light oil from manufacturer (on all lines) is cleaned off and it now sinks.Line doesn't come on a spool, which makes winding onto reel a little more difficult but not much if you do it right. If you try to "unspool" the line like its on a spool you will make a mess of knots. Just let loop rest in your hand as if it was a garden hose hanging on a hook. Then gently lift loops of the line off your hand as if you were taking garden hose off a hook on the wall. Don't spin the line in your hand just let it hang and take the loops off your hand with your other hand. Take 9 to 10 loops off your hand, reel it onto reel, then take another 9 to ten loops off, etc.You can do it by yourself but goes much faster if you have one person reeling and other holding line and taking loops off their hand. Group of boyscout's successfully did this on 12 reels this afternoon. If you are getting knots, you are doing it wrong.Doesn't have loops on the ends. But most cheap lines don't. Not as big of a deal for us as are learning knots and tied nail knots with leader on the end of the line. But if its important to you then you will need to add a loop to the end if you use loop end leaders.

Skyline technology is mostly in the taper and compounding of the PVC. Paying over 50$ for fly line is absurd. I’ve fished every fly line on the market as well as every taper. There are some great quality US made fly lines which I’ve used and loved (RIO). This fly line is an amazing value, super slick with low memory. The loops are a little bulky but novice fly fishers will like the convenience. Yes it’s made in a China but so is the iPhone your are reading this on.

8wt intermediate sink was easy to use and casts well, albeit the wind was at my back. I have only used it twice so far off the reef in Aruba. Line blended in well with clear tropical water and presentations looked good.

It is supposed to sink eventually. Didn’t do so. Good floating tip though

Here’s the skinny on this line. It fishes well and accuracy was decent. I had only 2 issues, the line is loud when stripping and casting It’s not as slick as higher end line. It also doesn’t quite sink as fast as claimed. The upside is it’s very nimble and has zero memory. I had no issues with it trying to spool up or knot while I retrieved and then cast again. It’s a solid line for the price if you can get passed the noise through the eyes

Good price for a sinking line. Caught several chum salmon on it and held up beautifully. Only part that had a little difficulty was the way it was packaged. It is just one big looped line and you needed to be careful when loading the reel initially or knots would form. However, still great product and that did not diminish from the quality of the actual product

Alright, so I live in Florida, it’s hot and humid as hell. After reading the other reviews I now understand the issues with the line. So with the heat, the line does get sloppy and floppy, but! It does sink and does the job! For the price, you can’t beat it! As long as you have mastered double hulling, you will have absolutely no problems shooting this line 20-25 yards. Otherwise, you will encounter some tangles. The packaging does need minor improvement. If the line came on any kind of spool or cylinder, it would be perfect and get 5 stars.
