I used the tap for a project to recreate a piece of scientific equipment and it worked well. The tap is sharp and cuts well. I haven't tried the die but it looks good.

Material on the die is cheaper than the tap. Started to rust after just a couple days but overall gets the job done

Had an issue taking the bolt off a Ryobi push lawn mower. Nut would get stuck half way off and I had to use an impact wrench to get it off. Thought it might be lock thread but could not get the nut back on after soaking in acetone and cleaning with a brush.Finally called the company to get the correct die size. Had the die, tap and a handle the next day. In less than two minutes the die corrected the issue and the nut goes on and comes off with no issues.

I used both the Tap and Die today. First time I ever needed a 8mm x 1.0 tap or die but I needed both! Im restoring an old BMX bike and the crank spindle internal threads needed cleaned up and so did the 40 year old original bolts, both the tap and die chased the threads and restored them to like new condition. I used tap oil and I had no problems. The spindle hole was 1" deep so I had the whole cutting surface of the tap inside the spindle. I was really hoping that the tap would not break being a made in China product but it worked perfectly and the price was right. I may never need to use it again but it did what it needed to do with no issues.

Well f82 M4 . Clean and chase the threads on the blue Callipers . Also run the die around the bleeders . 100% perfect fit . Also tap is not too large where it feels loose . It’s a perfect cut and super nice quality stew tap ! Best I’ve used . nice product !

The die appeared to rip the thread slightly, a split die would have better as a slight adjustment would have made an improvement to the thread.

Very clean machining. 10 mm, fine pitch is not commonly seen in the typical tap and die collections. I use these to chase the threads on brake caliper bleed valves.
