I got these acorn nuts for an outdoor project where I needed a more subtle appearance than polished stainless steel. These nuts are well made and the fit to standard M6-1.0 threads is good. Each nut is stamped A2-70 on the bottom, which is the Asian/European designation for 304 stainless steel alloy. The black coating appears to be powder coating as it has some thickness. Definitely not a plating or standard paint. This is a good product at a good price. Highly recommended.
