I was having problems with one of my rear shock absorbers that was breaking the upper mounting bolt. I bought this tap bc the bolt damaged the threads as it was backing out after breaking and leaving a 1 inch peice inside the flange. I got the broken piece out by using a left handed drill bit and although I was successful extracting the broken piece, the threads were rough for the new bolt until this tap cleaned them up. Highly recommended! ;))

The tap worked well. Only used it to clean a couple tapped holes so not sure how long it would last only reason for giving it 4 instead of 5 stars.

I lost a wheel while moving the car at the shop and a wheel bolt damaged the threads on the brake drum.I used the tap to clean and correct the threads to allow for the bolt to move smoothly. Perfect price for a single job.
