These are very nice quality M3 threaded inserts. The threads are silky smooth and M3 bolts spin right into them. The outside pattern works well for inserting into the 3d printed models. There are a nice low profile 5mm, so you can fit them in to some thinner printed pieces and have a very professional finish.I do a lot of printing that involves lids or attachments and used to just put screws directly into the PLA. This works OK if it's a one and done, but if your desire is to be able to remove these pieces on occasion and have the same connecting when re-assembling, then these inserts are a must. I have tried many different approaches with working the nuts into the prints, or gluing/melting the nuts into the print. This works OK when you he space in the model or maybe need some extra strength. But for a professional finish and look, these inserts are the way to go.Just work the appropriately sized hole into your model and use a soldering iron setup to melt into the material. There is a learning curve with getting the right temperate for your material and getting the inserts set just right. I highly suggest printing a few test blocks with holes in a variety of positions to figure out your technique. It definitely isn't something you want to do for the first time on a finished piece.I am very happy with these threaded inserts.

These are made pretty well. The edges are all nicely done, the cross hatch is great to hold in the plastic, and the threads are nicely cut and smooth. They work really well and I'd recommend them.
