Features of insert nut:
These threaded inserts are inserted into a pre-drilled hole by screwing in, in that case the external protrusions bite into the wood, preventing the nut from either turning or pulling out.
Flush design permits insert to be installed below surface level. They can keep the two connected surfaces from meeting absolutely flush

The design of this is very clever, they give you a driving tool with a flange that stops the insert at the right depth. I did see a different brand that used a hex driver to insert and initially I wished that I would have bought those. My problem was when I reversed the tool in my drill the insert came back out. I started adding some gorilla glue to the hole before driving the insert for a little extra holding power but the trick was to drive the insert in slow and then use high speed to reverse the tool out. I had 14 good inserts in a row and am very please with the set now. Highly recommended.

Came as a nice little box, inserts were bagged.Drilled the holes, drove in the inserts, moved on.Making a jig for a bandsaw, I needed these to make it adjustable.The only downside is trying to get one out. You have to have access to the other side. There isn’t a hex drive.But if you stick to the plan and order of operation, you will have no issue.

Good quality product. My only complaint is that driving the insert into mdf (for a cnc wasteboard) with any speed would cause the driver bit to stick and then pull then insert back out when reversing. I had to add wax to the driver bit's threads to get it to release when putting the screw gun in reverse.

Warning. These things work really well, and the quality is good. BUT they don't have any way to back them out if it doesn't go in right. Other ones can be removed with a screwdriver or an Allen key, because they will either have notches for a screwdriver or a shallow hex pattern on the top if you need to remove it. These are one way inserts. If it gets screwed up, it's in there for good. Other than that, they work good. My honest review, but more of a warning.
