Works GREAT. I was initially disheartened and skeptical because I could not get a connection to happen no matter what I tried. I finally went to AudioCast's website and navigated to the "connect" tab and followed the instructions in the video. Worked like a charm! Tl;dr: give the pucks a solid 30 seconds to a minute to set themselves up initially so that they show up on wifi. So happy to have come across this. Much e-waste saved and much $$ saved on a Sonos system. Good luck!

Connectivity is pathetic. Works IF you can set it up. When it cuts out, good luck connecting again. Would not connect after a few years of occasional use. Requires exact location. Why? Met a well deserved death when thrown against cement garage floor.

It works, the sound is great, and it's 1/10 the cost other streaming devices! So why spend 450 dollars for a Sonos streamer to hook up to my 160 dollar receiver/amplifier since this device does the same thing? The sound is better than Bluetooth, and with WiFi streaming I don't tie up my phone using it as an MP3 player. I can stream my Prime music and several others. Great for upgrading a standard old-school amp and speakers into a second system!

I have several WiiM brand streamers. The WiiM, AudioCast, and Arylic use an app made by the same company and are all compatible.I use the more expensive WiiM streamers on my good stereos and TV/Media centers, but I also listen to music in the garage and patio where I don't need as expensive of an option. The AudioCast only has Line Out, no adjustable line out voltage setting, and no equalizer (and maybe more stuff), but it it fine for non-critical listening areas at a price less the half of the other options.I think this is an older design as the USB power has a USB mini or micro but not the current USB-C that more current streamers use. Not an issue, it just makes me think these are older designs. Not much published on the specs of audio quality or chips used so I would only recommend for casual listening areas.

Never did get unit operational despite reading instructions, following directions on Amazon, and viewing tutorials (links sent by manufacturer) after I reached out for help. Have no idea what unit sounds like. Couldn't even get item to show up on my Wi-Fi Gateway. I am not a novice at this. I have full WiFi home automation, 30 years experience in high end audio, a Lutron certification, several years of computer programming and am an electronics hobbyist. Very frustrating.

No idea about the actual performance of this device, but during setup I was immediately turned off by the fact that not only does the setup utility demand you share your location, it also insists on asking for your PRECISE LOCATION. The app insists that this information is required for proper setup, which is complete nonsense because that information isn't needed when setting the device up through a web browser. As soon as I saw the app insist on precise location before allowing you to continue setup, I instantly distrusted everything about it. I ended up setting mine up on an temporary isolated wireless network with no internet access and DHCP forcing all clients to a black hole so the unit can't communicate out to the world.Combined with the fact that you're also giving the thing your wireless network credentials, I'm going to say that this product is a SIGNIFICANT SECURITY RISK and advise everyone to steer clear.

I loved how easy it was to set up and use with the iPhone app, and for the price, I think it's a great value. I chose to return it in favor of a more expensive Wi-Fi audio streamer with better sound for my whole house audio system. No complaints with this though.
