This seat is amazing! It is so comfortable, it looks great and was easy to install. So much better than the 30 year old seat that was on there. The price was so much better than our local JD store.

The original factory seat has three different size holes for mounting the seat. This only has one. I had to drill it out to fit my John Deere 855. Other than that, it works great.

Beware, the box that this thing came in looked as if it were dropped from a 200' cliff. Even the UPS driver was uncertain about the condition. Seat was not damaged BUT there was NO HARDWARE with it to mount the armrest part to back of seat. A trip to hardware store and two 8mm x 24MM bolts and ok now. Will update later when I get to use it some. Update today, 02/18/2025. I went to install the new seat on my 1070 JD tractor and the seat mount "hinge pin" would not fit thru the holes in the bottom of the new seat. So, with this I had to drill the holes out to fit the pin. Another step that should have not been necessary.

I bought it as a gift for a metalworking friend. He loves it and has it on his 670 John Deere tractor. He had to drill out some holes so the bar that holds the seat on could be used. Once that was done, everything else was perfect. The seat sits and raises properly.

john deer 790 tractor ( You may have to replace seat rod or redrill seat hold down rod hole).
