It does compress to 4 inches from my 220 lbs. but is very comfortable and provides excellent spine support. I ordered another one for another chair. High quality materials.

I've bought and tried all kinds of seat cushions, padding, and make shift solutions in an attempt to make my wheelchair comfortable and prevent pressure wounds.Cushions typically slip (even when they fastened to the chair), are too thin, go flat quickly, lose their shape, and do not protect against pressure points..I took a chance on this cushion. It had only one review, and I was skeptical. Before I opened the box, I felt disappoinment, because it was incredibly light.I opened the box and removed the compressed plastic wrapping. To my surprise, it took shape quickly. It looked good, too.This cushion fit the seat perfectly, and has not slipped from under me during the three days I've used it. It is comfortable, and has cushioned the pressure pressure points better than anything I've tried.I'm pleased with it so far. Hallelujah!

I kept buying and trying other sizes and brands. Was not really satisfied until I bought this one. Very comfortable and love the height of the cushion. Stays firm regardless.

I had a total left hip replacement. I needed a higher cushion to sit on using my current chair. This works fine. I only wish that it was just a little higher. It flattens out of course when you sit on it.It does retain its original height once you stand, it’s comfortable. I weigh about 170. It isn’t bad purchase.

So I just got this. On the picture which advertises this. On the chair it looks so, so, this and firm...yet when it arrives it is rolled up. And when you cut back the plastic....it looks all wrinkly and HALF THE SIZE IN THE PICTURE! Its not stiff-firm.Just feels like a semi-firm pillowI bought this so my elderly family members could get up. Yet if this thing squishes down like a pillow. How can it help???So I don't know ...I purchased 2 of these.Don't want to send them back...but is there anything out there better? I'll come back and update.

There’s too many things wrong that I don’t know where to start. First of all, I ordered two. They both came rolled up like a ball! After I finally got it unpackaged, they were not flat, they were both still folded, even after pressing on them to get them to lay flat. As you can see from the pictures. It shows the memory foam to be a few inches higher along with the padding to equal 6 inches and you can see by the picture that it’s barely a couple inches because it’s so flattened. I tried to sit on the cushion, and it’s lumpy because of the padding and memory foam That was squished. I am seriously considering returning and ordering something different. Don’t waste your money very disappointed!

My husband needed lift in his wheelchair. This is a super sturdy, thick seat and it helps him tremendously.
