Okay I used this to drain a steam cleaner. I needed one with small diameter tube. It works well as long as you remember the technique.- The Liquid source container needs to be much higher then the transfer container.- At the start loop around the tubes so that you only have maybe a foot length from the liquid. Start siphoning the liquid, when liquid comes all the way to the squeeze bulb, slowly lower it to the container and let gravity do the work.- To siphon very small amount of liquid in container. you can loop to a foot length and when using the squeeze bulb, when releasing the bulb cover the open end with your thumb it will provide more suction, leave the end open when squeezing and cover again when you release bulb, That should get practically all the liquidAbout the product the tube and bulb seems to made of good plastic material. Don't know about durability but I believe it will last

Works very well. Would recommend to use a sanitizer solution for clean it with. Water stays inside the tube and bulb for quite a few days.

What can you really say, it works for what it is intended for. I wish the mesh cage at the one end would fit into 1 gallon jugs of wine to make sure sediment doesn't go into the next jug i'm racking to. but i tend to just keep the tube off the bottom. It works well to siphon wine. It took me a few seconds to figure out that you just squeeze the accordion style pump, at first i thought you compressed it vertically, but you just squeeze it like a blood pressure pump. Once it starts, you just sit and wait. It works very well and is inexpensive.

Great little siphon but the only problem with it is you can't take it apart to clean it. The plastic wraps around the pump area and water gets trapped in between there. So even if you try to dry it out and hang it it's still keeps a little moisture in between the plastic and the siphon pump which eventually can create mold. Since you can't take it apart to clean it, you have to buy a new one every few months. Decent for a cheap siphon pump, but look for a ball pump like the doctors have on the blood pressure cuffs which are cleanable and removable. You'll pay a little bit more but you won't be buying a new one every other month to prevent the risk of contaminating your drinks you're making. The screen is nice to block large sediment when racking over. The siphon is easy to use and racks over decently quick. If you're interested in a one-time use or few time use for hobby alcohol making, then this might be for you. But if you're going to be doing this seriously, then you're going to want a better siphon than this.Yes I know you can soak it in bleach and keep it sterile which is what you should do anyway. But bleach water would get trapped in the in between instead and you would have mild amounts of bleach. So it's a toss up between mold or bleach your choice. Which is now why I have one that is openable and cleanable.

I've watched plenty of videos of people using their mouth to begin the siphoning action when they're racking their spirits and always thought it was unsanitary. This bulb comes with a bulb that you squeeze to get it to start siphoning. You have to squeeze it rapidly to get it started, but it works great. If you've put a lot of fresh fruit in your wine while it ferments, the screen filter may get clogged while siphoning the last little bit of wine. It was also easy to clean. I racked two one gallon jugs of wine today in about five minutes.

The photos show a clamp on the tubing. This set does not come with a clamp
