I’ve throw countless return tops in my years, 100s of dollars in them; and got back into it after being away for a while. This is an awesome throw, one of the best next to V11 from Magic Yoyo. I ran the bearing in some cleaner and boom; it’s comparable to by most expensive throws. While the finishes on this one is sweet; V11 plays soooo much better. I honestly wouldn’t go back to spending 50+ on yo-yos again. It’s smooth, floaty, sounds like a little bell. Just replace the response pads with normal clear silicone. ( I do that with all mine) ether way, you really can’t go wrong with this one or the V11

Magicyoyo V12 is one of the best under $25 yo-yo I’ve tried. I like the slight smaller diameter and the wider body. Great for beginner and intermediate players who wants to do hop combos and finger spin DNA tricks. One of the best Finger spin yo-yo. Comparable to cheatcode and Iceberg, Speedholic Xx etc. it’s something you can practice your trick with and not cry if you ding your yo-yo. Get one.

It's hard to beat the price of this yoyo for what you get. It's metal, got great spin. Convertible. Nothing to complain about. Definitely in the top budget yoyos to get.

The case is nice and the yoyo are nice too. The purple one seems harder to bind than other yoyo at the same price range, but do not bother me very much.

My son loves this yoyo. It works very well. He mastered a bunch of cool tricks within a couple hours of use. It comes with high quality bearings that are easy to change.

As usual, you have to have the skills to play with this toy. The toy itself has great weight and colour.I recommend this yo-yo (if you know how to play it).

At first I bulked at the price of this yoyo, but quickly learned the importance of good quality for anyone that wants to do tricks. The material is aluminum and it is designed to work for both beginners and advanced practioners since you can change it from responsive to non-responsive. The design itself is a cool black and gold marble, and it has a special design for the impressive finger spin (or so I am told by the teenager that is using it). It also comes with a 12 different strings and a carrying case. If you like yoyos, this one is a winner.

If you've read any of my other MagicYoyo Reviews you'll know that I'm a big fan of their yoyo's. I've only ever dedicated myself to becoming an advanced beginner, or a mediocre intermediate Yoyo player! So please take that into account during this review.The MagicYoyo V12 is an excellent yoyo. The kit comes with a great variety of parts to keep you spinning for a long time without fail. Included in the kit is everything you need to go from beginner to advanced yoyo'er.In addition to the yoyo itself, set up as a responsive yoyo with flat edge bearing and it's corresponding axel, in the kit you receive the following:1 hex key to unscrew the axelA bearing pullerA concave edged bearing and corresponding axel, to switch to an Unresponsive setup for advanced players.A bag of 12 various colours of yoyo stringsHigh quality zippered soft caseYou also get a small instruction sheet.The finish of the yoyo is excellent. Made of machined aluminum, the surface has a very colourful satin anodized finish. It's very nice to look at and looks amazing while spinning.Design wise, the yoyo has a nice wide catch slot for string tricks, silicone edge pads for help catching the string for returning to your hand, a finger divot on the sides for advanced "top spinning" finger tricks and an outer edge for side finger tricks. (for more advanced yoyoing)The bearings are decent, not the best, but very high quality none-the-less, and they'll give you fairly long hang time right out of the box.I would suggest if you've got a very young beginner, up to 6 or 7 years of age, start them off with a classic "macaron" style yoyo. Once they've got the basics down, you could consider moving them up to a more advanced yoyo like this one. Though if a young kid was just pining away for this yoyo don't hesitate! It's a great yoyo. Just be sure to set their expectations accordingly.VerdictThis is an excellent yoyo that can be setup for beginners as a responsive yoyo for easy returning, or setup as a more intermediate/advanced yoyo by swapping to the unresponsive bearing/axel setup. It will follow your abilities as you grow your repertoire of tricks and skills. I've always loved MagicYoyo brand yoyo's, they're reliable, can be used in various setups, look simply stunning, and are extremely well made. You won't go wrong getting one. Definitely worthy of consideration to add to your cabinet of quality yoyos.
