Super strong magnet. Haven't gotten used to how it helps yet but seems like when I do that it'll be very helpful. Asked you to use multiple angles and also has CM measurement along the long side which is very nice.

I can’t review how well this works, because it won’t stick to my sewing machine. I have a 1950 Singer and assumed it would stick. But apparently my machine is some alloy which magnets won’t stick to. So test your machine with a magnet before purchasing this.Edit: I haven’t used it yet, but played around with it a bit and realized it will stick to the needle plate, so should work in most cases. Just won’t work if I need to set it out any further than the needle plate plate.

I've tried other magnetic seam guides - but none of them worked with my Brother sewing machine. This one does.It does give you a physical barrier when you're sewing to help you keep your seams the right width. It won't stop me from making mistakes, but it could certainly help.

Good for sewing a straight line, once you figure it out. The Magnet is strong and held very tightly to my Singer Heavy Duty sewing machine. The seam guide comes packaged in a plain plastic bag with no instructions. My first guess was that I should be using the side of the guide with the overlap. That appears to be wrong since it gives a very wide seam, see photo. The seam width is set by where the presser foot hits the guide. When I turned it around and aligned the straight side with the tick marks on the sewing machine plate, I could sew a straight line easily. I just wish that there had been some directions in the package.
