The included pic shows it next to a couple of other clips and a tape measure for size reference. But regardless, this thing is strong. Not strong for its size. It’s strong…period. Now, it is a magnet with a rubber coating so, set your expectations accordingly. You can still bump things off it with enough force. For example, if I were climbing a ladder and someone was below me, I wouldn’t use it to hold a hammer just in case I knocked it off. But if no one was below me, it does have more than enough magnetic strength to hold a hammer even with lots of movement and accidental bumps. I also tried it with a mallet. It didn’t hold as well as the hammer (because of the hammer’s flat-side surface). But it did hold fairly well. And the mallet was substantially heavier than the hammer. Excellent, unexpected magnetic strength.The clip on the backside is robust. The tension is tight and it will fit over most belts without issue. I did try it on a Toughbuilt tool belt. Those are a lot thicker so, it was harder to fit over that. But otherwise, you shouldn’t have any issues.I know there’s some decent competition in this space. And these things can get a little pricey for what they are. Whether you get this one or another brand, look for one with a heavy duty build quality. And check its magnetic strength with the heaviest thing you may be carrying with it. For this one, although I wish the actual magnetic surface was a little bigger, it may not have mattered anyway with its excellent strength. Overall, highly recommend.

My husband is currently finishing a house we are building. I saw this item on Instagram and instantly bought it as I figured it would be really useful for him. He uses it constantly. I was going to give it to him for Christmas but figured he would benefit from having it early. He has Rheumatoid Arthritis, so having to climb up and down ladders to get things is a pain (literally) and toolbelts don't work for him. This is such a small, non-bulky way to attach driver bits, extra screws, etc and has really come in handy. This would be an excellent stocking stuffer for any contractor, DIYer, even hunters. Or crafters. I could use one of these to keep track of my scissors in the craft room :)
