Once you figure out how to properly remove the adhesive backing, these things stick well. Just peel the backing away on one side, aim the foam into place, and pull the backing off slowly as you press on the foam to adhere it to it's new home.

I bought this material to use to pad the rechargeable battery packs I rebuild. For that purpose it worked great. The dimensions were accurate but I would not rate the adhesive used as "very strong". It was fine for my intended use but if you are buying this padding to cut into much smaller pieces, or for an item which will be moved frequently, the adhesive may not be adequate.

I needed a cushion for the thumb rest on a musical instrument. I purchased 4x4 by 1/8 closed cell foam from Salimhib (another Amazon offering) and applied a strip where a cushion was needed. As I describe in my review for that product the material collapsed to zero thickness where most needed and was then useless. An attempt to remove it created a mess of foam fragments and adhesive which required serious scrubbing with acetone to remove. This Magzo product ("high-density" foam) so far provides the required cushion, retains mechanical integrity and is removable intact if that is required. The missing stars simply reflect my ignorance given the short time with the product.

I bought this foam to protect the cabinet of my suround sound speakers from the metal pressure brackets of the wall mounting system I chose to use for my home theater set-up. This foam allowed me to crank-down on the pressure brackets to insure the speakers wouldn't fall, and to isolate speaker vibrations from causing any sympathetic reverberations throughout the rest of the house. I highly recommend it for any similar application(s).

Not easy to remove, but in this case, it is what I want. The pads stick strongly and can be easily cut to the desired shape. About durability, time will show.

Used these to line the inside of a motorcycle battery tray, worked great. Sticked well. I Recommend these.

Slips under weight, would or might be ok in lite duty applications.

Impossible to get the backing off, the glue seems old and way too gummy. Useless.
