I really like the Matt, it’s beautiful and high quality. I don’t like that you have to fold it to store it in the bag. It’s pretty bulky but floppy. I ended up stacking my mat to a dowel with Velcro and store it in a MrPen adjustable caring tube and it works perfectly. 4 stars is for the mat.

The mat itself is great but the carry bag is too small. In order to fit it in the bag you would have to fold it which would cause unwanted creases. I roll it and slide it in but it flops over a bit since it isnt contained within the drawstring bag.

The mahjong mat meet my expectations. It has the rules for charletons. The storage bag is too short for the mat rolled up but it works. For the price it works.

This mat arrived in good time - we played on it yesterday. The only slight complaint is that the bag sent to carry it in is way too short to carry it.

we are not really serious mahjong players or poker players in the sense that we only play either game about once or twice a month but when we do play, it is always an issue about the mahjong pieces or the playing cards getting more wear and scratches from rubbing on the table surface. plus it certainly IS loud when you shuffle the pieces. this playing mat solves all the problems. it is made of good thick materials that from the looks of it will definitely protect the table, the mahjong pieces, and the playing cards. stitches look sturdy, size is perfect, and the design printed on it is very helpful when playing mahjong although i wish the colors used were less traditional and more avant garde, so it would have been closer to 4 and a half stars only in my opinion but that is not a deal breaker though. function over form is more important for us. when laid out on the table it stays in place and does not slide around, staying flat and not folding or bunching up. it also comes with a storage bag where you can keep it once rolled up. overall it meets expectations and was exactly what we needed.

I’ve been searching for a game mat for a while, and this one definitely stands out. It’s well-made and has a solid feel to it. The material this is made of (XPE/Rubber/Velvet) reminds me a lot of neoprene... what they make scuba suits out of... with a rubbery bottom and cushy top surface. It looks and feels very high quality. Has a good heavy weight to it, it won't accidentally slide off your table. Though it comes folded, in half and then in thirds, most of the fold lines disappeared... all but the center line. But this isn't very strong, so it will hopefully disappear as well.The velvet case this comes with makes no sense. The case is 22" x 8" which does not seem to be any sensible size for folding a 32" x 32" mat. The gallery photo of the mat in the case is not realistic. The best way to store this would be rolled. This case won't accommodate this. If I can't find a tube to keep it rolled in, I'll likely keep in the box it came in.The item I received contained two small indentations in the top surface that could not be fixed (see photo). This had to be the result of high pressure on the surface during manufacturing or less likely during packaging. The vendor was quick to send a replacement.

Nice table top gaming mat for those late night sessions. As you know mahjong and other types of tile based games can get noisy and rowdy at night and having a mat can help reduce the noise. While the mat is great it definitely changes the feel of the game as well as "washing" tiles has a certain flow to it as well as slamming down a tile when it is your turn, so while it does help with noise it may not be for the hardcore players.Overall for the price it is well worth a try, it does work and is of great quality. However some old school players may not like it. Worth considering nonetheless.
