This is a great mailbox. It's very sturdy and was easy enough to attach to the brick exterior if my office. The lock is very secure and the box has substantial capacity for a large volume of mail as well as larger envelopes. It comes with three keys and more are able to be obtained by providing the specific number on the keys. It also looks very nice and unobtrusive and comes with a generous amount of adhesive stickers for adding an address number. This is not for everyone, but we have perhaps had more fun than would be typical in my woman-owned business referring to this mailbox as "the only mail (male) boss that will ever work here."

It was safely packed in a Prime box, and its own box, cradled in styrofoam. And because of that, I trust that even if it were accidentally dropped by the mail person, it wont get all dented. It is made sturdy as heck. The bronze is good looking. It is hefty though. I wouldn't lie if it took mighty muscles to tackle the installation. Yes, instructions were clear and easy to follow. And no, installing the box wasn't a breeze. If you're hesitant, just have a handy person do it for you. There are holes below which is an option for those who prefer to put the mailbox on top of a metal post. Also sold by the seller. To each his or her own preference.Since it was hooked on the wood siding and not the brick wall where the old mailbox was, when mail is dropped in, the lid makes this loud clunky sound, loud enough to be heard while indoors. But that's okay since that's the whole purpose. I want to know when mail has been delivered. I'm not saying that in a negative way.The size can accommodate 2, maybe up to 2 & 1/2 weeks of regular sized letters, postcards, including an estimate of 5 catalogs or magazines, tops. So, this mailbox size is perfect for the wanderlust at heart. Just have a family member or trusted friend to retrieve your mail once a week while you're gone.

Somebody kept prying open the cheap mailboxes at work and I was always stressed if circumstances dictated the mail would sit overnight. No more worries now that we have the Mail Boss. The box is strong as all get out, the design is tamper resistant and frankly they'd have to rip part of the wall off to get my mail now. It's big enough to hold magazines or catalogs and it looks classy too. Honestly I smile every time I go down to get the mail now. True, the outgoing mail is in an unsecured section. For us that's not a problem since the box is in a high traffic, high visibility area during the day so it doesn't get messed with. If you have problems with people stealing your outgoing mail you'd either need to get a commercial box approved by USPS where the carrier has a key to the outgoing slot, or just drop your outgoing mail at a secure blue bin.Installation was easy. You mount a bracket to the wall, hang the mailbox on the bracket and then bolt the mailbox to the wall. Once the door is locked, all of the mounting elements are not only hidden from sight but inaccessible to would-be thieves. For securing your incoming mail, there is no better choice. Worth every penny.

A heavy and solid feel, this is quite spacious and well made. Due to the weight, do make sure you have the brace for the hook well anchored. The remaining screws were a bit inconvenient to drive through straight, but it looks good.

We were looking for three things out of a mailbox: a large area for outgoing mail, very good capacity for incoming items, and at least the appearance of being difficult to get open.I was concerned about the outgoing mail area's size, so I called the MailBoss. They said it could hold ten or so letters, but this can hold at least double that. Not only that, but the outgoing mail is fully enclosed so we do not have to worry about it getting rained on or blown away. The red flag indicator is just attached to the side with double sided tape, but it appears to be durable tape and the mechanism works well.I am a landlord and receive rent at the house. We have a great through the door lockbox http://www.amazon.com/Protex-Through-The-Door-Locking-Drop-WSS-159/dp/B003E1ZUP2/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1397656453&sr=1-1-catcorr&keywords=through+the+door+lock+box that works like a book depository. You open it up put your rent in and then close it which causes the rent to drop into the lockbox. For whatever reason, my tenants cannot figure it out, so we needed to be able to receive rent in our mailbox. Our old mailbox's first fail point was size. It could easily fill up, pushing any collected rent up by the opening and where it could be easily stolen. Also, we wanted something that would work if we were gone for a few days. The Townhouse provides plenty of inbound capacity. There is room for several days of mail, including magazines and rent checks without worry about it hitting the top.We have never had an issue with anyone stealing our mail or rent, but I did not want something that looked like an easy target. Also, even many locking mailboxes are mounted on the wall by just sitting down on two nails. You could just lift the mailbox off and carry it away without any effort at all. That is not the case with the Mail Boss Townhouse. You securely screw it to the wall - its mounting hardware is heavy duty stuff. The mailbox itself is heavy duty steel and will not give your mail up without a real battle. This Mail Boss Townhouse met all of our needs while being decent looking. It is so much better made than any mailbox in the same price range. I am very happy with the value I received and I paid about 15% more than its current price.

This thing is heavy duty. The lock is smooth to operate. It will hold a ton of mail if you're away for a bit. I'd guess a least a week of mail. Three keys included. The white is very nice.

Very Solid Heavy Box, good keys. This will be as secure as the method you use to attach it to your fence. They do provide some good fasteners and a drill bit and spacers. This is not a wimpy box, it is substancial in nature. I'm Canadian, but I get that MADE IN THE USA means QUALITY!!I think that if you have a solid box for your mail;... trouble may move on to someone who has an accessible box.

So far so good no issues yet although some mailman did not know how to use it, left letters on top of it.Maybe have an arrow to show how to open it.

We purchased this mailbox a few months ago because we rebuilt our porch and couldn’t find a mail slot to go through a steel door. Even though we live in a very safe neighbourhood, some of the neighbours told us their mail was being stolen so we wanted a locking mailbox. This “townhouse” mailbox is very solid and seems to be better made than the lighter weight ones we found in the big box stores. It is large enough for a magazine. The lock seems good quality as well. We left off the silly plastic flag and house numbers that came with it. Our house is a 150 year old Victorian and the style of this fits nicely! We’ll see how it holds up to our Canadian winters or hot summers but so far it still looks and works great! It was a little tricky for our contractor to install and we put in extra supports in the wooden wall because it is heavy. But the end result is beautiful.
