I needed this to use with a Rockler sign making template kit. I mounted it to my Makita plunge base for an 18v router. You have to have this for that application (and should have come with the base) and the price is fair. It's an OEM part and fits & works perfectly. Don't overthink it and just buy it ifYou have the Makita plunge base and plan on making signs.

I wanted to use my Makita router with Rockler Interlock Signmakers Templates. I had a Makita 196094-2 plunge router base, but still needed an adaptor so the Rockler bushings would fit. This adaptor fit the router base perfectly and the Rockler bushing fit perfectly. Just what I needed.
