Makita is giving landscapers more options with the edger couple shaft attachment for MM4 4-stroke couple shaft power heads (sold separately). It has an 8 In. steel blade with a guide marking on the blade guard for cleaner, more precise cuts. It includes an adjustable wheel for quick and easy adjustment to the desired cutting depth. For added durability, the metal skid plate is engineered to protect the gear housing.

Used to use weed wacker to edge my lawn and it was a pain in the ass/messy. Grass trimmings were everywhere. The edger is a game changer. Results are way cleaner and less messy

The edger is fantastic. The edging on my lawn looks amazing and this so much more comfortable than using a string trimmer. The only reason I got this attachment was because I already have the Makita Powerhead which is really great. I use the string trimmer with an Echo Speed-Feed head. The trimmer is amazing but it was just really awkward using it for edging and sometimes the lines came out bad (user error regardless). The edger is amazing and lines come out look fantastic - it's also much faster than edging with a string trimmer. I also use the edger for cultivating around flower and tree beds - keeps the line looking really good.
