The 18V LXT® Brushless 5” Dry/Wet Masonry Saw (XCC01Z) is a powerful cordless wet saw for demanding applications, such as cutting tile, masonry, concrete, and more. The motor delivers 8,800 RPM. It has a high depth of cut capacity of up to 1-9/16” at 90-degrees. The XCC01Z attaches to an optional guide rail with a guide rail adapter (both sold separately), in order to provide straight, accurate cutting.

The saw includes an integrated water delivery system with water flow adjustment, which continuously feeds water for OSHA Table 1 Compliance in masonry cutting applications. For dry cutting, the saw is equipped with Auto-start Wireless System (AWS®), which utilizes Bluetooth® technology for wireless power-on/off communication between the tool and an AWS-equipped dust extractor (sold separately).

It is part of Makita’s 18V LXT System. The LXT Cordless System, the world’s largest cordless tool system powered by 18V lithium-ion slide-style batteries, takes a user from power tools to outdoor power equipment to get the job done. Makita 18V LXT Batteries have the fastest charge times in their categories, so they spend more time working and less time sitting on the charger.

Fabulous for detail, shaped, plunge or large format tile cut outs. Accurate, clean lines on porcelain tile with a festool track saw & adjusted adapter. Wouldn't use all day, but great 2nd saw on the job. I use it with a smoother cutting blade. Battery life is pretty good on tile. The water resevoir tank leaks from the top due to air gap so it functions, going to try a wet sponge on the blade instead for quick smaller cuts. Haven't used the hose function yet, don't plan on lots of long cuts, but seems functional with care of plastic fittings.

Cutting speed is a little slow for functionalityBut its a little saw and because of the size, its easy to use and has alot of power good value for the money

This is an excellent little stone saw, buy the track base and some tracks and clamps and you have a solid stone saw for all sots of fabrication.

This saw is weak and struggled to cut quartz , keep in mind this saw would consume a full 6ah battery 🔋 on a 26 inches cut , also the water system is a joke , all the connections leak and make a mess. I own many makita tools and this one is just not a comparable quality makita toll.

I purchased this to cut some granite countertops. This is extremely easy to use and I found it to make clean and true cuts in my granite countertop that I needed to widen the opening for my new stove. The water option (hose or small container that has quick connects) keep the dust down. You can use it to dry cut, but you need to buy an adapter if you want to vacuum or have a dust bag attached. This was perfect for what I needed, but I could see this being a key tool in much larger tile cutting, stone countertop cutting jobs.

I purchased this saw to cut some granite remnants. I used the water bottle and also ran a hose on top of the stone, so I can't comment on the complaint about leakage. My granite was 3/4 inch thick, and I found the saw bogging down, even at a slow feed rate. So I think the saw is a bit under powered. I was able to cut through the granite by making multiple cuts at increasing depths. I watched YouTube videos where users appear to more easily cut through stone in a single pass. Perhaps they used a better blade, or the stone was not as hard as my granite. I purchased the track adapter and used the saw on a Festool track. This was a big advantage for getting a relatively smooth cut. I would not want to use this saw freehand, since the saw marks would be a pain to buff out. I think the saw is of good quality and I would buy it again. However, there is no mistaking this for a professional grade saw.

First off, I am a huge fan of Makita. Love their products. I was excited to get this tool.I needed to cut porcelain tile for a bathroom. When using it freehand It did not cut as cleanly as I had hoped. When I I used it with a Makita track I could not cut with it at all. The diamond blade was not parallel to the metal base so the blade was going through the tile on an angle. The blade would bind up in the cut about 8” into the cut. Couldn’t push it any further.Did not use it for the tile project and I am going to try and send it back. Disappointed.
