I live in the country and have killed very large rattlesnakes outside and have also had those huge foot long centipedes get in my house. I always worried and this thing is well put together and I have more peace of mind now that I have it. Have not had to use it and hopefully I won't, but now I have a plan if I do🥴!

I do like that the capture end of this tool is coated to help protect the animal as most are not. However the people end of the stick is bare metal and could really benefit from some sort of rubberized grip to make a solid capture tong.

It certainly works for getting the dog balls out from under the couch, as she keeps losing them there. I am no spring chicken, so getting down on my hands and knees to reach under the couch for a dog toy is a terrible idea, I may never get up again! this little thing works great and I have no issues snatching her toys from the toy narnia and bringing them back into this realm. As for snakes? Hopefully I wont have to use it for them but if I do, I am well prepared and know this handy dandy gadget will work just fine at getting them the heck off of my lawn.

Had a snake problem recently for which this stick would have been useful, so bought this one.Very well built, smooth extension mechanism, easy grip handle.Only awarding 4 stars for now because it has yet to see action so unable to comment on how well it might grip a slithering serpent!
