I'm a millwright at a lumber mill and I use this to manipulate heavy loads during repairs. It works great and I have no complaints.

Works fairly well for remov and installation of a Fifth wheel receiving unit. Definitely small but seems to work ok for a small weight!

Order the one with the longer 10' chain. I already had one with the 5' chain, but needed a second one to help install a 1500 pound door, so it was a no-brainer to get the longer one for just a few dollars more. You can't do much with only 5'. Plus, this one is way nicer than my old one because the chain is chrome instead of black steel, which has a porous surface and tends to attract oil and grease.

The system is very simple. In my case, I had to return it because the small lever for changing the up/down direction was rather difficult to switch when under load. This wasn’t ideal for its intended use by a woman, so we changed plans. However, for garage use with tools or someone with good hand strength, there will be no issue switching the lever. Fantastic little hoist! I needed a small portable unit to lift and remove parts of my machining centre (mill) for servicing and this tool made easy work of it. Great little product!
