All the stroke linear actuator have duty cycle, they are unable to work all the time without stop. The duty cycle of this actuator is 10%. It means that your actuator needs 18 minutes to rest for every 2 minutes of work. If the actuator keeps working for long time, the motor is easily burnt out.

I bought 4 of these to turn my desk into a standing desk. They took a little abuse during installation but held up and work perfect for me. ...Move the desk up and down 4-5 times a day every day.*i use these in conjunction with 50lb gas springs and some wooden stabilizers I added to my desk. If I were to just use these the desk would be too wobbly when in standing mode.
