My grand niece now requires a compass set for her Math. She was so excited when she got her set (she had been wanting one ever since her brother had received his). These are great little sets...not so expensive that you get over-protective about losing pieces or the normal "child abuse" that happens; they have a ruler, a couple of triangles, leads...it's actually really a great set!

I ordered this for my son when he told me he needed a compass and protractor for math class. I paid 5.49 and free shipping on Amazon. For the money, I think is a pretty good set. He has been using it in his 8th grade class for the past few months. This is mostly from his report.Pros:He likes the container. It is compact, fits in a small backpack pocket, and has been durable.Tools work well enough for basic, in-class tasks. The tools are small which helps when using it with a math book or on a tablet screen.It is a complete set. He said most of the other kids in his class had to buy extra stuff, but this has had all the tools he has needed.Cons:The tools, especially the protractor, are small. Sometimes this makes it hard for certain problems.My son prefers a protractor with holes or a hollow center. This one is the style that is solid all the way through.As expected at this price, the compasses tend to slip. If you want one that measures more accurately and doesn't slip you'll have to pay a little more. Likely more than the price of this entire set.Overall, I gave this 4 stars because of the value. Amazon pricing was pretty cheap. The tools are small and very basic, but holy moly, it's just over 5 bucks. I think this is about the best set you are going to get for the price.

The title says it all... Quality product for a good price! The case keeps everything tidy and in place. I like the pencil sharpner in particular. I would pay that price for the pencil sharpner by itself!
