Works the way it is supposed to, I like how my dive buddy has an extra means of determining not only where I might be due to low vis but potentially if I'm low on air.

This unit sets up quickly so if you are good with computers you will be ready to dive in a few minutes. Easy to read readout with large characters where it counts. You will need to purchase a separate device to download your profiles but that is fairly inexpensive. There is a bit of a lag when updating pressure changes but after 50 dives with this unit I don't see much of an issue as long as you aren't diving deep and on low air. The only reason for the 4 star instead of 5 is the markings seem to come off the face very easily. If I had known that in advance I would have put a coat of enamel over them to protect them better. Other than that nice unit for being hundreds cheaper than others that function close to the same.

I own a Quad Air and don't like it much. The backlight is poor so it's hard to see in darker waters. The readouts are all the same color and you'll need to memorize their positions. The owners manual is digital only and full of hard to follow schematics. Lastly and most annoyingly the PSI readout does not consistently work after pressurizing the system. It does read upon reaching 4 feet in depth but I need to know what it's reading at the surface right before submerging. I can get it to read by shutting the tank valve and depressurizing then pressurizing, but it will blink out if not submerging right away. The Divers Diary app is junk. I suggest some other computer, either a Shearwater Perdix or Oceanic. I'm going to deal with the Mares until I save up enough to get something else.

Purchased 2 of these, one for me and one for my wife. We were trying to streamline our diving setup and eliminating a pressure hose seemed, (at the time), like a good idea, hey, one less hose. They both worked for about 10 dives then my wife's would not transmit the tank pressure. She ended up missing out on a pre-paid boat dive while we were in Bonaire. Two dives later mine does the same thing! WTF. Had to borrow two pressure gauges so we could continue diving.Sent them back to Mares, 3 months later get them back and both are working until the second dive when mine stops working under water, (I now have a hard-line pressure gauge just in case).Customer service for Mares is absolutely non existent, no one to call in the USA, no help whatsoever! I'm totally done with this unreliable junk. I will belly up and pay for a Shearwater Teric, twice the price but reliable and they actually have customer service, you truly get what you pay for!
