I have one of those all-in-one aquariums, the kind with the digital thermometer... yeah, those don't last longer than a month. I also have the strip kind that adheres to the outside of the aquarium, those aren't always accurate. So I went back to what I know, and these old school thermometers actually work! They work inside the tank, accurately temping the water, and they're consistent. I should've just ordered this to begin with, but thought I'd try out the digital. Lesson learned. This thermometer was super easy to install; the suction cup stays securely in place on the glass of the aquarium, so much so that I actually had a difficult time removing it to readjust it's placement. It doesn't move, it's very secure! And it's a glass thermometer so you don't want it moving. The clip attached to the suction cup that holds the glass thermometer is just as strong, it comes assembled in the package and I tried to slide it up a notch and it wouldn't budge, which is good! It's very accurate too, which is the most important part. The line is a little difficult to see for me, but my eyesight isn't great so I just use my cell phone's camera to enhance it enough to read it. Overall this is a still and all time favorite as far as aquarium thermometers go, it's accurate and doesn't require any electricity to use, it's small and doesn't take up any space in the aquarium, and it's completely functional! Sometimes it's the simple things that work the best. So I'll continue to use these from now on! Highly recommend!

Got 2 of these to replace/compare to the stick on strip (in photo) and to a digital thermometer I had wondered about. The strip thermometer has been on the tank for about 2 years and was same as new thermometer. I like the size of it, much easier to read at a glance seeing the highlighted green area as the good temperature zone. I’ve had no issues with it becoming unstuck or breaking. Good buy, glad I went on and purchased two of them!

Easy to read once you have it oriented right. With the temperature range marked, you don't even need to see the temp. Just look to see if the red liquid is in the comfort range.Best of all. It doesn't need batteries!!

I want WHITE background and LARGER numbers! No one makes that. This thermometer is more accurate than most other brands, but the color background stops me from buying more.

I ordered 2 of these the first one broke within a month. The 2nd one I ordered broke within 3 months. The bottom tips break off and end up in the aquarium gravel. Poor quality!

Works fine for the price, but numbering is small and a bit difficult to read. The suction cup degraded and ceased sticking in less than a year.

Finally a aquarium thermometer that is large enough so it can be read without having to use a magnifying glass! Seams well made and quite accurate. A great buy at the price.

Suction is great, hasn't moved since I placed it many many moons ago. It does indeed float and appears to be accurate. Happy with the product and I will purchase again as I add more tanks.
