The packaging is not great. The vibration damper mount bracket of the tube was protruding from the cardboard box, though undamaged. One of the plates had a dented corner into where it mates with the other plate. It was not difficult to straighten and looks are not important to me, just be aware that packaging is somewhat inadequate.There are not instructions, though if you have any experience or enjoy puzzles, installation is not too difficult. It might be best to first install the plates and vibration damper, then attach the filter to the MAF and putting the filter in place before attaching to the tube. Installing the filter last was troublesome. Removing for cleaning will be interesting.Having only conducted one short test drive, performance improvements don't seem too noticeable. However there was a definitive difference in the sound during acceleration onto the highway. More driving will be needed for more information concerning performance.The weight is noticeably less than stock, though the actual weights have not been measured.Overall, for the price, this is not upsetting at all.

Good kit I would get better clamps and more rubber tubing for the maf. Other than that it’s no differnt that an expensive one.

This kit fits well on my 2004 GMC Sierra. The finished product looks good and functions well. The kit arrives in a plain brown box and included no instructions. If you are mechanically inclined and understand how these kits work it should be an easy install. If you are a first timer and not super mechanical then this may not be a good kit for you. The increase in sound is noticeable under acceleration. Power increase and MPG are negligible unless you are installing other mods at the same time.

Overall, this is a nice kit that is easier on the wallet than the more popular name brands. As other reviews have mentioned, NO instructions are included, but it wasn't too difficult to figure out how to assemble the pieces and replace the factory filter box along with the intake tube in my 2003 Tahoe.The filter itself is large and is a tight fit. The small rubber boot is a little loose on the MAF sensor before tightening the hose clamp. Upon opening the box, the stainless intake tube was a little scuffed, but could easily be cleaned and polished if you like shiny objects under your hood.I took my time and wasn’t in a rush, installation took maybe an hour to an hour and a half. While driving, the sound in the cabin is definitely noticeable under load, but was close to stock during normal cruising. I assume most people who get this will already have a louder exhaust and will be accustomed to increased engine noise.This is a worthy kit if you are considering a generic intake kit for your ‘99-06 GM truck or SUV. I consider this a quality kit in the under $70 range.Note: I had the opportunity to compare both Marsflex kits:APEN23001-M1APEN23001-M2During a side-by-side comparison, I found no differences between the two kits. Both included the same parts.

The holes on the divider walls and bracket arms on the pipe required some mild modification to bolt in properly, and it came with a section of Chinese newspaper rather than any form of instructions... but overall I am very happy with it for the price. There is a video on YouTube with someone showing the difference in power and flow on his HP tuners and it's a significant gain for the money.

Can’t fail this completely, it does work, sounds better than the stock unit, pipe came scratched like many others. Biggest thing is please include some sort of instructions!
