Wooden string blocks get dirty quickly so these plastic ones look much better. They're more gold colored than yellow, but they work as they're supposed to. The 4 twigs are a bonus. It's everything I need for a summer full of bricklaying projects.

Cool to have if everyone has wood blocks and you don't want anyone snagging your stuff. Twigs aren't as strong as metal but good enough for a decently tight line. I've seen a few blocks snap already, in my friends bag. Wouldn't buy again. But better than the pine ones Marshalltown has out right now, one snapped and busted my knuckle something serious.

I thought the line blocks were cool and wouldn’t get “borrowed “ from my box without being noticed , or at least that’s why I bought them. They are fine until the weather gets cold and then they break. Not cool to have a plastic line block flying past your face when your laying block. Stay away if it’s cold unless you don’t like the guy working next to you.

In warm weather seem better than wood because wood can split, but in colder weather(below 45 F) they break easily. One busted in two in my hand while pulling moderately tight on line. 2 more broke same week. Going to stick w wood line blocks and metal twigs.

Broke on first use. It sustained no abuse. It can't hold tension for more than 5 minutes. What a joke.

Good product, won't rot and fall apart like wood blocks from moisture. But 2 have broken already one from a drop onto concrete floor. And other broke while in my toolbox.
