These are very similar to Martin's Clapton's choice signature strings which are also 92-8 phosphor bronze.(92 % copper 8% tin), so I am not sure what the difference is if any. I have been using Clapton's choice strings for 13 years playing 1 HR 30 minutes every day. If for some reason Clapton's choice strings are not available, I would gladly use these. If these strings last as long as my favorite strings, I will update this and add another star rating. Claptons choice strings last at least 3 months for me.

Dont know what has happened to Martin strings, but the G strings just keep unraveling

Martin really messed up. These sound awful on my D28. I loved the SP4200's for their tonal balance but these are absolutely terrible! All I hear is the 1st and 2nd strings ringing out louder and brighter over powering the rest. I can't wait to take these off my guitar!!!! They don't deserve even one star IMO
