I'm a DIYer and have been looking to get into some amateur woodworking. I've been watching a lot of tutorials on YouTube and almost all of the builders in the videos used a pocket hole jig to make their draw boxes and cabinetry.I thought about buying the Kreg jig, but it was much more expensive and constructed with a lot of plastic. I looked into some cheaper jigs, but the reviews spoke of cheap and/or inaccurate parts. I learned about the Massca jig on YouTube and the price point was right, so I decided to give it a try. I love it!I opened the box and within five minutes was drilling my first pocket holes! You can easily adjust the depth of the hole. The clamp holds the wood tight and it's easy to release or tighten. The included drill bit is strong and good quality. It's constructed completely of metal (aside from the piece that you use to measure the depth) and is solid as a rock. I'd recommend attaching it to a workbench so that you have a solid surface to work on.I ended up drilling 24 sets of pocket holes for 12 drawer boxes. I built the boxes to add to a cabinet that has shelves, but need drawers. I'm excited to continue to build with this tool. A bookshelf and closet system are up next on my to-do list and I will definitely use my Massca pocket hole jig.

The Massca Aluminum Pocket Hole Jig System Set is both very well designed and built and has worked very well for me on over 200 pockets holes, so far. In recent years I've used a handful of similar products including the K4, K5, and the product from HF, and this is by far my favorite. Massca engineered a solid product here with a quick and easy drill-depth gauge (much better than the K4, IMO), quality adjustable clamp, sturdy aluminum body, brass knobs, well written instructions, nice bit and more.Early on I had a small issue with the the screw on the stop collar not tightening (possibly stripped). I contacted the seller who was very friendly and sent me a replacement collar and new bit the same day! I'm not a professional, but I have done enough woodworking to know quality stock and quality tools make a world of difference. The Massca Aluminum Pocket Hole Jig System is a quality tool and given its price point, is a very good value. The exceptional customer service I received was a pleasant bonus and ensures I will be a return customer. Thanks for all the reviewers before me that helped inform my purchase; without you I'd still be using the K4!

I was more or less on the fence about buying a pocket hole jig from the main 'K' brand (rhymes with "keg"), but the positive reviews on Amazon, and a great deal on an Amazon Warehouse damaged-box version, encouraged me to try this one. I have no regrets about this purchase at all.First, though I have not used the 'K' jig in a project, I have seen and handled one. It feels like a quality jig and, given its popularity, I have no doubt it does exactly what it was designed to do. With its less expensive price, one would be excused for thinking the Massca jig is a shoddy knock-off. This Massca jig, however, is solid, heavy, and feels like the real deal. There are some differences between this and the 'K' brand's most popular jig, and they are executed well. The entire Massca jig is milled from aluminum, and the machining is EXCELLENT. There is a track on the bottom for use with certain types of work tables. There are also tapered through-holes on the base of the aluminum frame (with included tapered-head wood screws) to screw this to a larger base or to a workbench top, etc. The frame appears to be anodized in a bluish grey matte finish with markings probably screen-printed directly on the finish. Some light scraping with a fingernail proves the printing (or whatever it is) to be durable (I couldn't chip any of it off). The metal arm cam clamp that holds your work is VERY NICE. The included vacuum port for wood chip evacuation works great. The included hardware seems to be very good, and everything appears to be compatible with 'K' parts (like the stepped bit and pocket hole screws) available at any hardware store.

I recently purchased the jig and have not had an opportunity to use it for pocket holes. The jig is metal as opposed to other products which are plastic. It is simple to set up with very easy to read markings on the jig itself. A drill bit and screw bit are included as well as some screws of different sizes. There is also a guide which helps you determine what size screw you need to use based on the size of the wood stock you are working with. I hope to use the jig in the near future and will come back and edit this review.

When I buy tools my selection criteria is in this order: Usability, Build Quality and Aesthetics. This product scores 10/9.5/10It's usability is very well thought out. The clamp feels solid and smooth, the adjusters are high precision and clearly marked. It's just the right weight to stay steady but not be cumbersome and the detachable pocket hole jig is a breeze to use. I haven't attached the shop vac to the dust collecting tube yet. But it's a really nice feature.Build quality is fantastic. All metal, all well machined. The pivots are smooth and without play. I took half a point off because the small clamps that hold the detachable jig in place are a bit fiddly when replacing the detached unit into the base. But I'm being picky. Drill bit, collar and hole guides are very high quality.Aesthetics are sweet. I just love how this thing looks on my bench. I was going to buy the Kreg because that's what everyone else seems to get. I'm so glad I chose this one. It's a gorgeous bit of kit.

If you are looking at a review to decide between a Kregg Jig and this, get this, this is all aluminum it does what the Kregg Jig does and isn't made out of plastic. It has tons of extra features, and it is pretty much the same price. So this is a no-brainer if the metal tool costs the same as the plastic tool and has the same amount of stuff GET THE METAL TOOL.

I bought this from Amazon US with free Intl delivery to the UK included .. all taxes for £120 ($166 approx) .. but it is around $116 in the US for the same set. So is it worth the extra $50? Maybe ! Maybe not.. but after reading so many reviews this came out the best against a number of known brands including Kreg and it's all metal. Only time will tell when I come to use it.If you are in the UK my answer is yes - it is probably worth the extra $50 for us brits when one considers US-UK postage UK Customs Duty and the usual £12 the post Office hikes onto the total cost for handling an imported delivery. Thank you Amazon for doing your bit to help UK DIYers.
