My downstairs neighbors used to use my washer and dryer when I was not home. Their constant use caused my electricity bill to skyrocket and my gas bill as well due to the use of hot water. I solved the problem by shutting the breakers and pad locking the breaker box. I had verizon Fios installed and the tech decided to install my ONT where the washer and dryer are located since there was a convenient electrical outlet in this location. This presented a problem because I could no longer turn off the breaker to the washer since the ONT required constant power but could still turn off the dryer. After doing a lot of research I decided to purchase this item. Instead of turning off the breaker switch this product allows me to remove the plug from the outlet and pad lock the plug instead. The product works perfectly. I'm sure that this product can be disabled with a few strikes of a hammer or a hard twist from a vyse grips but doing so would also damage the plug itself. My downstairs neighbor have not been very cordial to me since I purchased this product and now I see them loading up their car every week with dirty laundry. I've never seen them do that before. I wish I could have been a fly on the wall to see their faces whey the happened on this getup!

I bought this to lock out my sons from their TV when they are on restriction. It works great as long as you use a full size lock. The neck on smaller locks, i.e. luggage locks, won't pull the lock ring far enough forward to enage the pins in the plug. Use a normal sized lock and it works great. They haven't been able to defeat it and they've tried.

I got these for my kids video games.. they work great. I have gotten other products that were made for video games and they didn’t work as well as these. Best of all is all I have to do it yell Lock out Tag out to the kids and they stop fighting. These work great for TVs, video games and so much more. Great value. Would highly suggest these to anyone with kids and think there video games are life.

Simple way to Lock Out your basic 2 or 3 prong plug. Just push the plug in until the lock hasp comes out and place your lock in and you’re locked out.

My kids have an issue of getting out of bed, clicking on the TV, and vegging out until my wife and I get up on the weekends. This is most kids I know, but my kids know that breakfast comes first and any other chores or left over homework, but they migrate to the TV anyway. To end this, and the broken record speech and consequences, I purchased this lockout plug cover. The kids got the point really quick and now they take care of everything they need to do when they get up in the mornings. Sometimes the TV won't come on until the evening because they get focused on other things be it playing , chores, or homework. The only thing that would have been better is if I didn't have to by the lockout lock and key separately. My thanks to my work for giving me knowledge of lockout tag out items. They're good for more than just personal safety.

A small bit of thin gauge wire is all that holds this product together. Lasted .5 hours with my small 3 year old daughter who simply pulled it in half, yanking the loop for the lock clean out of the housing. Not worth the time it takes to stick the lock in the loop and by far the worst Master Lock product I have seen in my life. One star is a bit overrated for the product.
