Great product. I did not get paid for this review, and I purchased this product with own money after searching several different vaccuum bags. I used this product to help move my 12 inch queen size spring supported pillow top mattress across the country. Let me say that this product out preformed all expectations in every category.I was easily able to for my Queen size pillow top mattress that is 12 inches thick inside the bag with plenty of room to spare. The seal on the bag held up great during the 48 hours I had it in my car. Some people mentioned how easily the bag will tear, but I didn't have this issue. The plastic itself I would say is medium thickness and will hold up nicely as long as you're careful with that you're doing. If you have long or sharp nails, then you should take caution when moving the bag, and if you drag it along the ground then I would expect that it would puncture. It seals with a simple ziplock style closure device that didn't give my any issues. The vaccum part was also a breeze. There is a one way valve that you place the hose of your vaccum cleaner up to, and this is how you remove the air. I have a cheap little Dirt Devil vaccum and I was able to get the mattress fully compressed in about an hour. Once I got to where I going, I just opened the ziplock seal and the mattress was back to normal within seconds. No broken springs, folds, or creases as a result.Pro tip, if you lay/walk on your mattress while trying to vaccuum seal the mattress, it works so much better. Again, I was able to get a 12 inch thick queen size mattress to compress down to 4 inches thick, which I then folded up and threw in the back of my car.I cannot fully comment on the carying straps since I wasn't able to use them. But initial impression is that they are good quality, with strong velcro and built in carrying straps. Unfortunately for me, you do need to roll up your mattress in order to use them. Since my mattress is a spring mattress and not a foam mattress I couldn't roll it up tight enough to get the included steps to fit on the mattress. My work around was to fold the mattress in half and secure it with ratchet straps which I also used as carrying handles.Overall this product was able to allow me to keep my mattress and save me money. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to move a mattress by themselves.

When I moved on my own, I used this mattress vacuum bag to vacuum down my queen size foam mattress. Running my industrial shop vac with this bag for about 10 minutes brought the overall thickness of the mattress down to about 2 inches, approximately, maybe less.At that point I was able to roll it up and used all but one of the included adjustable holding straps to keep it rolled up. Of course these do not make the mattress any lighter, but they helped to a great extent in making the mattress easier to move.If you are moving a foam mattress from one residence to another that is not nearby, I highly recommend using one of these vacuum bags to reduce down the overall volume of your foam mattress to a small fraction of its usual size. Once it is vacuumed down fully, it is rolled up and the roll held together with the included adjustable straps. At that point you can set the roll up on its end and easily use a hand cart to move it around. (To keep from damaging the bag when I moved the heavy mattress on a handcart, I put the roll into a cardboard box that only covered the end of the roll, that was good enough to protect that end from the metal edges on the hand cart.)It is a huge help! When I finished my move and took the mattress out of the bag I had hoped to reuse the bag, but I decided it was more trouble than it was worth to try to completely flatten the bag and fold it back up again. It wasn't that expensive so I discarded it, and the next time I move I'll buy another bag.Highly recommended!

As soon as I turned my vacuum off, I heard the hissing and it started reinflating rapidly. This is not sturdy plastic. I flipped the mattress around and noticed that in an area where the plastic scrunched up/folded from the mattress shrinking, that there was a 1-2 inch rip in the plastic exactly where the fold was. There are tape patches included. That did nothing for the leak. I had to turn my vaccum back on and start rolling up my mattress while I had the vacuum going. You can't tell too well from the photo, but I used up a whole roll of packing tape and then some in order to force the mattress to stay rolled up. It's a full size hybrid mattress.I will say that my mattress for some reason has zippers on it. It is not a cover, it's built into the mattress. Anyway, the zippers ripped the plastic as the bag shrink wrapped around them. The zippers are metal, so I guess that's not the bag's fault, but it's something to be aware of.The Duck HD Clear packing tape (not sponsored) is the only thing holding this together. I'd have been better off buying a non-vacuum bag and using that. There's a video of a woman on YouTube who used a U-Haul regular mattress bag and used a vacuum on that to shrink it down. My mattress is a hybrid, so I probably could have taped it up a little smaller if there weren't springs in my mattress.

I was able to move my queen mattress by myself using this bag. I have a big shop vac and used it to flatten my mattress with no help from others. I doubt it would work as well with an ordinary household vacuum. I had to hold the nozzle in place the entire time because there is nothing to hold the vacuum hose in place. If I had a helper I could have flattened it more with someone to walk or roll around on the mattress to help compress it. I was pleased with the outcome, though, since I could roll it up an load it myself.

Ordered two of these for moving day. We were moving out of an apartment on the 3rd floor of a building with no elevator, and tight hallways to navigate. We had a King and Queen bed to move out that were both large, heavy and difficult to move. Because they were box-mattresses, it was easy to get them INTO the apartment when we first moved in (since they were shrunk, and in boxes). Now that they are fully expanded/full size, moving them out becomes a challenge, especially with the king that weighs 110lbs and is massive with nowhere to grip/hold onto. My wife was unable to help move them, so I needed a way to shrink the mattresses so I could carry them out on my own. That's where these Vacuum bags come in.I put both our king and queen into their respective mattress bags, being careful to not tear the plastic or damage the seal, and zippered them closed.I used a RIGID shop-vac from home depot to vacuum the valve on the bags and suck all the air out. The Queen mattress which is 100% foam, was fully shrunk down in about 4-5 minutes. The King which was a hybrid that had pocket coils AND foam, took about 8 minutes. While the shop-vac was sucking out the air, I walked around on the mattresses to help compress them. After the air was out, I was able to roll both mattresses up and secure them with the provided straps. I used an additional 3 ratchet straps on the king specifically, as I was paranoid about the vacuum seal breaking, the mattress expanding and the pressure from the coils in the king mattress ripping the bag and expanding in the truck.BOTH mattresses were extremely easy to move after being rolled up. I threw them over my shoulder on my own and walked down the stairs to load it into the truck, much easier to grip/carry a 'log' over your shoulder that a 6ft by 6ft, 110lb, 12" thick rectangle with no good holding spots. Both mattresses sat in the moving truck for 3 days before we unloaded them. When we finally got around to unloading them, neither seal on either bag were broken. They were both still 100% vacuumed shut and in great shape. So I believe the concern from others here saying they had broken seals after moving them, was due to improper closing/sealing of the zipper, or being too rough on the bag during moving and causing a micro tear. We did not have any issues. After we opened the bags up in the new house, both mattresses IMMEDIATELY expanded and were at full size in 60 seconds. It was pretty crazy how fast it happened, especially since it took 24hrs for the mattresses to expand to full size out of the box when we bought them new.Overall VERY impressed with this product. Made my life SO much easier with this move, and had the added benefit of keeping the mattresses clean and sealed from the outside world during transportation. Fantastic product and worth the money 10 times out of 10.

Item great, worked well for my double sized EMMA Mattress. I was skeptical at first because my mattress was very bulky but I was so happy how it worked well for my move. Highly recommended!
