It’s a heavy duty product with great return spring action. This unit was a replacement for my first water hose real (of the same type), that lasted for 10 years. The air and water hose units look great as well in my garage.

Another review noted that the bolt holes for mounting this are directly behind the hose reel, so your access to the mounting bolts is a bit restricted. It's also a fairly heavy unit, and I had to mount it working alone. I pulled all the hose off the reel to lighten it, and then marked two holes for lag bolts. Getting two of the four bolts in place made it fairly easy to mount the others. It just took a few minutes.One note - this reel does not swivel, but there are rollers on all four sides of the opening for the hose, so you can pull the hose out 90 degrees to the side, not just straight forward. My application requires pulling it sideways, and the rollers make this easy both pulling it out and retracting it.No air leaks, good mechanical action, the "clicks" to lock the hose reel at whatever point is needed - they all work great. The hose is good quality too, and should last a long time.

I got tired of coiling and uncoiling an air hose for filling bike tires, using an air gun, and other things. I bought this and bolted it to the roof of my garage. It's really well built, good quality rubber hose, and made here in the US of A.

Update: the hose was pretty flimsy. It kept on bursting at the end piece atter about a year.I have since replaced the hose with a Goodyear hose on the same reel. Reel works fine. Super heavy. Box says 40lbs. Same design as the harbor freight model, but I'm hoping the hose Is better than central pneumatic brand. I chose to bolt this to a shelf over the compressor so I don't have to drill holes in my garage Finished ceiling. I mostly will paint cars with this hose. I used to have a hand-wind version, but am looking forward to using this professional looking automatic one. Some say the fittings leak but mine did not. I use teflon tape on every fitting and new hardware all around. I've tested this hose at 120 psi and so far not a single leak. I may edit this review if

I've only had this for a few days, but the quality seems top notch. The sucker is very heavy duty and a challenge to mount. It seems to rotate smoothly and retract with a lot of force.Installing it was actually pretty tough. I lag-screwed a piece of 2x8 to the wall to catch a couple studs, then lagged the unit to the 2x8. The trick is that the 4 mounting holes are pretty well obstructed by the hose reel. Maybe there's a better way, but I ended up threading them into pre-drilled screws using my fingers to get them started, then using a wrench to hand crank them in until very tight. It wasn't terrible.. but seems like there is probably a better way to do it. The unit is very heavy and you'll almost certainly need a helper to hold it up while you screw around with getting it bolted up.I positioned mine up high, between my two garage doors. This tucks it away into space that is otherwise unused, but also pretty centrally located.

This hose reel is easy to install and works great. The hose doesn’t leak and reels in and out just the way it is supposed to. The locking mechanism works great and there are no issues with it. It looks to be heavy duty and well made. I use it for airing up tires and running impact tools for rotating tires. I would definitely recommend this hose reel for anyone that wants to make life easier in the garage.

Great hose reel. Replaced my Canadian tire plastic one and this is a huge increase in quality. Has a substantial amount of weight to it.Not able to mount on a single stud with the current placement of the holes so I drilled it out to have two holes in the centre and used 1/2 inch lags with 3†depth.

Tengo poco tiempo usandola, y es en un taller de casa por lo que no puedo saber como seguirÃa con uso más rudo. El carrete se ve bien construido, la tensión del carrete es buena, ninguna fuga, nada que reportar hasta ahora.Creo que por el precio / calidad ha resultado una buena compra.
