Glassy crystals in this glaze produce lush, organic, and earthy hues. This high performance, opaque glaze, gives the artist a wide variety of options in one product as application, firing temperature and shape will influence the outcome. It is ideal for achieving a high fire look at low fire temperatures. Crystals are easy to apply and spread out during firing to give a burst of color for a truly unusual appearance. Glaze is non-toxic and safe for artists of all ages. Food safe when fired. Freeze/Thaw stable.

This glaze when fired to cone 06 and slowly cooled produces beautiful copper tones. This was 3 coats all over and a 4th ring around where you want the glaze to start it’s flow. It’s a little darker in person but really reacts to the light.

I raku bisque and glaze first thing! So this is 1.25 hours at max 1911°F for 30 minutes so it's super fast but I like the results. There is a glitter and a high gloss that make it look wonderful. Wanted a redder/copper hue instead of the chocolate but I do it different, so it's probably my fault. I recommend 👌

I opened the package and it was a mess inside. A bit disappointed just because I planned on giving this as a gift to someone, but still useable.

I'm sure it's a perfectly wonderful glaze, however I only use misfire glares and this is low fire, which is not in the description.

My first attempt w/ this glaze was a disaster.I have since fallen in love with it. Brush applied on a white bisque body. Concave or convex the the results are fluid & alive w/ a shimmer that is best viewed in natural sunlight or halogen household lighting. Florescent light totally fades the results to zero but who lives under florescent light.4 DENSE COATS w/ A VERY HEAVY 5th Coat on the upper half caused a wonderful random shimmering drip.

I was impressed with this glaze. I like the mayco elements, but the swatches are usually kind of misleading or hard to achieve without having to run a couple of tests just to see how they actually fire with their unique variables… this was my first attempt with this color and it worked out beautifully. Sponge-applied 3-4 coats to 04 bisqueware, then glaze fired to 05.5. Results in earthy “patina” or “rusty” look with a smooth, glossy finish… varying floaty browns with metallic copper shimmer throughout, excellent coverage. Love it. Thank you!!

I low fired (05-06) this on a white bisque hand built piece and it came out gorgeous. A copper shimmer in some areas, and dark/brown in others. It was brushed on, not dipped. I did three coats on the outside, one inside. I am unsure if the glaze flowed down or if I brushed it on in strokes that flowed down but it has the appearance of flowing which I like.

Nice homogeneous glaze! Doesn’t need much stirring.Great crystalization when thick. Pretty shiny brown when thin.
